Bmw 190sl ......

This looks really good from the rear quarter angle. But then I saw the side and front views? Whew .... no thank you. Apparently, this is a 'Mercedes 190SL' style body conversion on a BMW Z3.

Actually, I like that. 7 out of 10. They need to carry one of the trim lines over to the door.

ceg, (pronounced "sedge" ) I agree with you. the rear 3/4 looks really nice, but the side? NYAAAHAAH! perhaps John's idea of carrying the lines across the door (they do look like they were basically forgotten) would help

Hmm... the back of that thing is pure porn! I don't like the side too much... the door looks terrible among those flares and vents.

But I like it. From behind it reminds me of a Ferrari 250GT California Spyder, too (Ferris Bueller car).

Let me see if I can remember where I found that later tonight. A German website I think. And the kit is made in Japan. There were a bunch of photos and an article. Should've posted the link ....

yep, there is that sign of promise again. the front quarter view looks really nice, but those doors still stick out like sore thumbs. the bottom pic also reveals that there was no attempt made at doing anything with them. it seems that even a simple trim piece across the center of the door in line with the front and rear trim line could make a difference. but unfortunately then it wouldn't be keeping with the original

That looks terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All I can see is Z3 doors and some tacked on bits front and rear.

Ford. Now there is a company who got the retro look right.
