I hear ya bro......
I thought you and I were about the same height? how tall are you man.. I ride a 57-58 depending on a few things.... The Concorde is a 57cm ST with a 57.5cm TT. Well if you do get stationed here in Ohio there are some good riding area around and across the river in KY. So you'll need a road frame :) |
just 6'2" and raced for years on a 60cm, I purchased the Allez as a 58 used so it worked ok for a few years. Ohio is on the list as #1 and a slot available this cycle...can your dad hook me up? lol
|
I hear ya.. I would think that a 58 would be great for racing...... as it's nice top use the smallest frame you can fit on. but for riding and the from time to time race. You may be right a 60 would be best.
I am a little under 6' so the 57's fit me great I raced on a 56cm Airborne Zepp... hahah! I think he could have tried to ask around. ;) but now that he is retired and only civil Servive I don't think he'd be of much help :) ahahah! I hope ya can get here.. the dog training area is NICE and you'll know me and have loads of riding and car guys to do stuff with ! E u |
well like your dad I may just go ahead and retire, so a civil service job would not hurt. ;o)

sorry...back on topic, this is how we roll. =o) The van can haul 5 DH bikes with ease. |
Are those Brit plates??.. what do you guys have tracils that people travel to from abroad? There us to be some great bombing downhills thatthe locals made in Baumholder off some old tank trails
|
MTB Parks are nice in Germany, I believe the yellow plate is a NL plate...we were at Bad Wildbad park and it draws people from all over europe as it's very difficult so pro's love it. I have not seen any at Baumholder, we go by Darmstadt quite often.

yeah that Colnago is BIG cash!
|
it's nice!!!! alright!.. but I prefer the more traditional / classic frame geometry. i love classic Colnagos.. like this one! I found on the internet.

Erik, have you ridden classic vs. newer frame geometry to compare? I haven't been on a road bike for over 10 years. From what I've read so far it seems bikes have come a long way.
I can just see myself riding that new one down the coast spinning the 53 and jawing with friends and then putting the hammer down on Torry Pines... |
After six years, lots of training rides, 6 MS 150 Bike Tours and 4 Century Rides, I still love my TCR2. This picture is pre-Bontrager wheels and I still had my nasty frame pump. I've since gone to the CO2 type inflation system.

Erik - it was funny, but I was riding Christmas day, and I saw a woman on a classic Colnago - at least I thought it was until I saw how fat the tubes were when I got close to her - she confirmed it was aluminum. Anyway, I told her of the plans for the Peugeot, and she said , "Sign me up if the deal falls through." I asked why, and she laughed. That told me something. I have three shops who want to buy it now. Jeez, after nine years hanging in my garage, it's sort of a barn find, huh? |

but hey to each his own.. that's why they make so many styles.. I say get what ya like. and ride the hell out of it :) hahaha dd, Yeah that old Peugeot is a find keep it.. fix it up. |

I have no experience with Felt. The carbon Felts are supposed to be good bicycles, though. What sort of deal are you getting?
|
List price for a 2006 Felt 4c is $2,299 I am looking at getting it for around $1,700.

Q: My 02 Specialized Allez Sport had the frame crack under warranty. Specialized upgraded me (gratis!) to an 05 S Works E5 aerotec frame/fork setup, to which all my old Tiagra/105 components were mated.
Is it worth buying ultegra components on ebay and fitting to my bike, or just continue to ride this mongrel and buy a better bike off the shelf somewhere down the line? |
