Do not do this under any circumstances (at work)

If you happen to be looking for a sofa or recliner and and are interested in finding the nearest Lay - Z - Boy Gallery...don't under any circumstances type "Lazy Boy Gallery " into Google and press "I'm feeling Lucky".

Ask me how I know.....

Even doing a Google.com image search for Porsche is dangerous! Is it just me or does there seem to be a lot of porn on the internet?

i once typed in craiglist-dot-com and not dot-org. i got so much porn spam that it almost locked up the computer. it had this tiny " do not set this to your home page" button that they hid! this was on my girlfriend laptop. she was laughing her A$$ off at my frustration. i was looking for a car for a friend. be afraid, very afraid.

btw, lazy boy has come along way. i guess they hired a new slew of designers. very chic stuff. i like it, compared to the old recliners.

Funny isn't it? There is a moral majority in this country yet!! porn thrives on the internet. Makes you wonder doesn't it?

Either the same ten people are making it profitable or is people from other countries.

Kach, what the hell brought this up after 2 years? I when I saw it at the top, I panicked with a title like that. I thought my account was hacked.

A friend of mine runs a group of servers in NYC. He hosts a lot of data, enough to make a statement like "94% of all money spent on the internet is in the porn industry*" and sound like he knows what he's talking about. He also noted that something like 98%* of all bandwidth is porn.

On topic for the thread, though, one of my friends, at work in a small 4-person office, comments that he needs to find some sporting goods, and then adds, "I wonder if there's a Dick's Sporting Goods around here?" A moment later, we hear his shocked gasp at the returns from a google search for "dicks connecticut." Ouch.

*Not certain of the precise numbers, but these are pretty good ballparks, iirc.

Yep, mistypes are also fun...

My nanny, when she first went online, tried to access her hotmail account. Well, almost. Went to hotmale instead. Yikes.

Might agree with the above if it does not include Pelican members!

Were it not for email, Pelican and some airplane websites, I would rarely get on the net. Anyone looking for porn on the net deserves the crap that they download onto your computer IMHO.

I've had the nosubstitute.org domain for years.

People used to tell me that nosubstitute.com was hosting an entirely different type of content. I'm not sure I even want to look.
