Wife's new car

The lease is up on the wife's Z3 next week, she is wanting something with 4 doors and inexpensive. We have a new little one on the way....and we (I) will be saving for the 993 . Does anyone here know anything about the Mazda Millenia S with the Miller-Cycle supercharged engine? The seem to be a pretty good value out there..

When looking for a new car for my wife I took a Mazda Protégé 5 out and was impressed. Quick car and loaded down with options comes in less than $20,000. She drove it and liked it as well but wanted something bigger so we went with an 2002 Subaru Outback. Now I love that car.

Not inexpensive, but my wife absolutely loves our VW Touareg.

Cheap, dependable - Car & Driver top ten for a while now. Easy to mod if you're into that. Lots of aftermarket stuff around.

Ford Focus. My 2001 with 40k is absolutely tight as a drum with nary a squeak. 400 miles on a $15 tank. Cold air, throttle body, K & N - goes like fun.

It's a euro Ford BTW - been there since '99 here since 2000, I think. Best selling car in the world.

We bought my wife a 2003 Nissan Altima 3.5SE a year & a half ago for about $24k. Nice car, very roomy, nice looking & quite fast (245hp). No problems & she loves it.

I quess "inexpensive" is a relative term, maybe I should have said "cheap"..the cars you guys are mentioning here are all good I'm sure, but none could be had for what I'm looking for, $5-7K.....what we are looking at are higher mile (75-100k) decent sedans..thanks for you comments

WOW. a grocery getter with more stock HP than my P-car??? sacrilege!

interesting how the Altima is beginning to eclipse the Maxima of only a few years ago
