Apology

James,
I sincerely apologize for my rude and tasteless comments I made to you earlier today, and to those on this web site I may have offended.

Larry Harris

Hey, that's a very nice gesture and goes a long way to illustrate your character. Anybody that has participated in internet forums has said things they regret.

Larry, thanks for reaffirming my faith in mankind in general, and police officers specifically. I'd say that a public apology like this is more than enough to regain your honor. Good man.

As the others said, good gesture. I have had to do the exact same thing here, and that was all it took too control my temper. (Didn't want to have to keep apologising).

I think that you will find, if you haven't already, that there are quite a few cops on here as well as an incredible variety of other people. Most of the Police officers let the cop-complaining stuff just roll off, you are the last one that needs any additional stress in your life. Take care.

Nice.

I participate in quite a few online forums and it is rare, very rare, to see a member with the balls to apologize in a post.

Thanks for a genuine post - may others follow your lead when it is appropriate.

damn, I missed the original furor. Is it too late to file a civil suit? I believe your post caused me greivous psychological harm. I'm naming you and JJ's breast as co-defendants...

So did I. Apparently, it was in this thread in the Off-Topic forum. What I am puzzled by is why Larry would start a new thread to apologize here in the Tech forum for a post made elsewhere!?!?!? Why not put the apology in the original thread where the proper context exists and the original "insultee" is more likely to see it?

I'm confused,
TT

James, it is obvious to me why you were pulled over in the first place-- the officer was able to detect the residual odor of McSorley's ale, emanating from every molecule of your body!

By the way, a drive in the 911 is a good way to test out prospective significant others. My fiance survived both a series of instrument approaches in a Cessna 172 and a full-on, get-down, dry-pavement, both-feet-in spin on dry pavement in my '88, in the same day!

You find one that can heel-and-toe, she's a keeper.

I agree! But hitting freeway speed in third before bumping over to 5th got her nervous. Its ok, we agreed that I can do the driving and she can do the cooking!

This thread just proves that one should think before he/she writes. I am happy Larry has seen the error in his judgment. Thank you, Larry!
