Ebay laugh of the day
Stumbled onto this auction. What will they think of next.
Here's one of the negative feedbacks: "how the hell does a piece of plastic get called a projector system! go to hell!" ROFL

Um, yeah. A lot of that on eBay -- including plenty of 'get a PowerBook for $5: pay me $5 to tell you the secret!'
Followed by feedbacks like: 'Hey! You didn't tell me your "secret" was illegal!' There really is one born every minute. Remember when Popular Science used to have ads in the back promising "Jeeps for $50?" (you have to be reeeeally old to remember that)

I remember that and Squirrel Monkeys for sale on the back page of comic books along with Sea Horses and 1000 piece soldier sets.
Or build a jet engine for your go kart. Am I old enough? I think people will pay the $10 for curiousity sake and then are petrified to leave negative feedback in fear of feedback retaliation.

Fresnel lens need not require the TV to be "upside down". It is simply a magnifying lens that is segmented so that it is the same "thickness" all the way across. Think of taking a plano convex lens, cutting it into concentric circles, maintaining the original radius but thinning out the flat side and then putting it back together. Originally designed for concentrating light on lighthouses. The more divisions, the better the "fidelity". However, it will never give the same quality image as a one piece lens. Makes a great firestarter.
