Got cut off by a Boxster today. U guys are right.

I don't usually go in for these non tech kind of posts. (Well, I try not to.)

I took the 911 out for a little exercise to go see a 356 FS in boxes. This idiot in his Boxster S (Hey, that's BS ) comes down the onramp and rushes to squeeze in front of my old tired 911. Not a look, nod or anything. What a butt hole. You'd think he'd cut off the Mercedes (I target them all the time), but not me in an old Porsche. I shoulda nailed his ass end. What ever happened to "age before beauty?"

(Oh man, am I gonna get it now. Better go get my Nomex driver's suit on ) Heh he.

Age before beauty, but your 911 wins on both counts.

ROFLMAO!! I shoulda traded my race car for Frankenteen????. NO way.

I don't know on the 356 yet. It's too good to pass up, but I need another project like I need a hole in the head. (Or piston, in my case). I'll get my non posting friend to buy it. He's the one who had the '72T Sporto that I sold out from under him. He has the money in his pocket. Then, I'll get it later. Hah!

Yeah, those Boxster drivers seem to have something to prove. One time I was driving down PCH in second gear at 4000 rpms (beautiful sound) and a Boxster driver (next to me) dropped into a lower gear to get his engine reving high. Totally unprovoked!

His car sounded like a washer machine that was about to blow. Not a terrible sound, but not an air cooled sound either. I ignored him.

With that being said, I'm guilty of obnoxiously blasting past 996s or other wasser coolers to let them know how a Porsche should sound.
How dare they even consider doing that to me!

Now you gotta ask yourself, would he have done that to you if you were in your Boxster.. that'll really fry your noodle. Now I sound like the oracle.

Time to go cut off a Boxster with my 911.

EDIT: Well, now that this got moved to OT, I don't think the first sentence makes too much sense. But, I'll leave it alone. I tried to have some 911 content but it didn't cut it over on the 911 BBS. Now you can really cut loose.

Someone has their pants on a little too tight today. Mike Z posts stuff about anything except 911s on the 911BBS and the stuff stays. Go figure. And I give a *****? Not me.

i agree, any older 911 has the right to downshift and rhoaaar when anything new and flashy is in sight, it's an earned right

the oposite is also true, the snotnoze brat of the P familly oughta have respect for the seniors...

two oldies meeting eachoter and downshifting and revving.. that's just saying hello... even when it's something not Porsche... like an older ferrari , jag , whatever.. oldie drivers know eachother and know the lingo... i got thumbs up from somebody in an old opel at least i think it was an Opel , but i saw it was old, and downshifted and waved.... and got one back..even in a 924...

it's like with people... old people have a right to be noisy and youngsters have a duty to let the old people be noisy...
i'm not old.. but my cars are... i'm speaking in their name here

I already did it for you on my way home from work today!!!
The JO wouldn't let me in even after slowing down to a crawl, having my turn signal on, and waving. I got no response just a snobby looking stare then a roll of the eyes, so I had to do it, I revved my engine on him and took off cutting right in front of him.
MUHAHAHA

The person in the Boxter probably didn't realize that you had the same make of car.

Funny, I usually find they don't try that more than once. Maybe it's the belching flame from a 15 year old Turbo suddenly on boost that puts them off?

Or the banshee howl of the engine in afterburner mode?

Either way, if they cut in front of me, it's because I LET THEM. And they know it.

What if I only have a 944? Can I cut off either one then? Or neither? It just keeps getting more and more confusing. . .

you're lucky. i just got cut off by a plymouth horizon. that car cut me off, and stayed in my way for a long time. at least the boxster can get some sorta speed up. when i finally got the opportunity to pass, the driver was hecka old. i bet her dad invented fire. i felt bad after that.
