That last pic with the guy having a 6" diameter post through his gluteous maximus reminds me of this S.F. news artical from a while back. A street junky/hoodlum who had survived something like 3 different shooting and 5 different stabbing incidents jumped out a second story window onto a fence and got impaled. They cut a section of the fence out and brought the whole thing into ER. Some poor doctor had "one of those days"

I recognize the MN plate on that Durango with the deer. That was a fatal that happened not long ago.
Over 20,000 car/deer accidents per year in this state alone.
Seems they should let the hunters thin out the herd, IMO.

I had a friend who was driving through a wooded area in a 4-door sedan with all the windows down on a hot summer day. As his story goes, a deer was attempting to cross the road, but managed to go straight through the open window. After a brief moment of very sincere confusion, the deer regained his senses and went straight out the other side. I can only say that I saw the hoofprints and the stunned look on the driver's face at the end of the drive.

How did that deer get to the windshield? There isn't any damage to the front bumpers and very minor damage to the hood. Did the Durango catch it in mid-jump? Amazing!

I find it amazing that I can have the complete opposite view of real550a entirely.

animals and nature are the only things decent left in this world.

It looks as though the earth has found an effective way to slowly cleanse itself, it's too bad it costs the life of a dear.

I agree that damage to the Durango begs an explanation; how did the roof get caved in w/o doing anything to the door frames?? And no damage to the front?

Tragic, anyhow. My Mom hit a deer near our cabin in Northern Wisconsin last fall, didn't kill the deer, (at least not right away, it ran from the scene), she was driving her '04 New Beetle which is practically designed to funnel the deer through windshield. Lucky my Mom wasn't killed. She was upset about hitting the animal though.
