Nice Pepboys bait and switch ad.

So I'm reading hte Sunday paper and see a Pepboys ad for a 4 wheel alignment for only $39.99.

Sounds like a good deal?

THen I notice in the fine print it's "For vehicles under 1 Ton."

What car on the road today weighs under 2000#? Unbelievable!

I bet if you check with them the intent is to exclude trucks over "one ton". In other words cars and light trucks are acceptable. I seriously doubt they are playing some kinda marketing scheme to make inroads into that huge and lucrative group 7 alignment market.

What they're really hoping is that you'll grab a new K & N and set of neon running lights for your Cavalier while you're waiting - hence making them a scandalous profit rather than just pocketing a few pennies on the alignment.

I wonder what they charge for a corner balance? Maybe a cheap way to get some new oil lines after they crush the stock ones.

I'd like to go in for an oil change. When they stop draining the sump and refill, I will just laugh while they have to do it over...

Why does it matter? His signature block weighs less than a ton.
