camcorder editing software advice needed!
im looking to edit my honeymoon footage from a silly amount of hours down to something mildly interesting for otheres to watch. my camcorder is a sony DCR-PC105E and ive tried fiddling about with the sony imagemixer software but it don't seem very user friendly. can anyone recomend a good easy to use editing package for a first timer?

It's Mac only, but iMovie is truly amazing. Easy to use but powerful and slick.

buy a Mac.
Sorry...I don't know of any decent and easy video editing software on the PC. Maybe MS Moviemaker? You can try Avid Free (www.avid.com), but I'll warn you that it ain't obvious or easy to use... |

For cheap and easy PC video editing, get Pinnacle Studio. That's what I use for editing our in-car video. It can do pretty much anything that a hobbyist would want to do, and it costs <$100. Incredibily fast learning curve, takes about 10 min to get running.
