When I'm Sixty-Four

When I get older losing my hair many years from now
Will you still be sending me a valentine,
Birthday greetings, bottle of wine?
If I'd been out til quarter to three would you lock the door?
Will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I'm sixty-four?

When I get older losing my compression many years from now
Will you still be adjusting my valves,
Oil changes, adjusting my carbs?
If I'd only drove you under 6K RPM's would you lock the door?
Will you still drive me, will you still race me, when I'm sixty-four?

Porsches have a way of whispering in your ear..."GO FASTER" so sometimes I am amazed that anyone who drives a Porsche even makes it to 64....Congratulations...

Just to clarify I am not 64, just thought this was a cool pic.

And the two in the picture probably wish they were still 64!

Vasek Polak at 82...

Quote:
Polak died in 1997 at age 82. A month before his death, he crashed the Porsche 911 Turbo S (billed as the most powerful in Porsche's turbo line at the time) he was driving at speeds of more than 110 miles per hour on the German Autobahn. He was traveling from Prague where he was exploring the idea of establishing a breast diagnostic center in his native Czech Republic. Polak broke both arms and legs in the accident, but allegedly suffered no internal injuries and was expected to make a full recovery.
Quote:
After his condition stabilized, Polak insisted on returning to Southern California to continue his treatment at Torrance Memorial Medical Center. Unfortunately, his wish went unfulfilled, as he died on April 17, 1997, en route to the medical center. The cabin of the Lear jet on which he was traveling had been converted into an intensive care unit. It had landed in Great Falls, Montana for refueling when Polak suddenly went into cardiac arrest and died

My dad bought his '84 TL coupe when he turned 64, after driving the 356 for many many years (still got both). He said that while the car was a nice birthday gift to himself, the weekend PCA DE at Sebring was better

The couple in that picture above look well beyond age 64. More like 84.

Some of the 64 year olds today look like they are in their 40s. This is due to healthier living, working out etc.

And the old guy is still scoring chicks. Geez, she must be 20 years younger than him.
