Angry 2 fast 2 furious

Just watched "2 Fast 2 Furious" wanted to cry! The movie has about a hundred P.O.S. ricers in it. The only two cars they decide to wreck are the Challenger and the 69 Camaro!! Two totally
unreplaceble classic cars! Just like the first movie, they trash a 69 Charger. Id like to get the producers of these movies and kick them right in the ass. What are they thinking????
Guys would give thier left nut to have those cars.Muscle cars like those can never be replaced. Ricers are a dime a dozen.

OH, THE HORROR

They were POS 6cyl cars that no one cares about. Look on autotrader and you can find all the Camaros/Chargers/Challengers you want.

Thats a typical ignorant "Porsche Snob" statement.
Other cars do exist in the world, other than a "6 cyl" 911
And I'm sure that there are plenty of people around that care about muscle cars. Very few people would consider those POS, except those with an elitist additude.
They didnt look like 6cyl cars to me??

They didnt look like F/G, looked like some bent metal to me. I know alot of cars in movies are replicas, i'm sure the Yenko Camaro in the movie was a copy, I dont think anybody would sacrifice a car worth that much and that rare.

I said onone cares about old 6cyl wanna be muscle cars. The true muscle car enthusiast care about the v8 cars. It's like a 951 guy not caring if a NA 944 goes to the crusher.

Aint nothin inferior about my 944!
My car is no better or no worse than anyone elses, I guess I just like all aspects of performance cars. I love european sports cars , and I love detroit muscle. I dont look down on anything anybody drives, as much as I cant stand ricers, I appreciate the mechanics and tech that goes into some of them.
My thinking behind my post was just that It breaks my heart to see a classic car like those get destroyed, whether it has a 150hp six cylinder or a 450hp big block V8. Cars back then had great body styling and individuality unlike todays cookie cutter cars that are hard to tell apart from one another.

I work on motion picture and television production for one of the major studios, and we almost never use fiberglassed mockups of cars, too expensive to fabricate. We'll crash/blowup/burn whatever the Director/Producers want, although we try and get the cheapest thing that is closest to what they want. If we're blowing up a car, we may buy a car with a shot motor or a salvage vehicle. If we're crashing the car we may pull the fuel tank and replace it with a one gallon reinforced fuel cell, a four or five point harness and remove the air bags. If we're flipping the vehicle it usually gets a roll cage as well. A typical one hour TV action series costs over $2 million per episode to produce, so they buy pretty much whatever they want. The key question is what does it cost to get the vehicle to the point where the Director is happy. If you have to buy a six cylinder hardtop camaro and spend more time (Union workers) to modify it to look like a Z-28 convertible, than it costs to buy the Z-28 convertible in the first place, they will almost always take the cheaper option (time permitting).
