ING Direct

Have any of you guys open a savings account with ING Direct or other online bank? I just opened an online account with ING and was wondering if any of you guys have had any good/bad experiences with internet banking?

I've been doing Internet Banking with Xerox Credit Union for about 4-5 years. I love it! I see little downside to having 24/7 access to just about everything a teller would.

Don't know what it's like in the US, but I've had an ING account in Aus. for about a year. Only downside is that transferring money out of the ING account can take up to 3 business days. So leave some in your normal bank for emergencies! (it's easy to get too enthusiastic with the saving......)

Yeah, I use ING Direct, too. They're pretty big and have been around for years.

For deposits into ING (from your regular account) can take upto 2 days, but I've found that most withdrawls (back to my regular account) are overnight, provided you make the transfer before 4pm.

They pay me 5% interest with no fees whatsoever. I'm very happy.

adam 5%, how did you get that sort of rate? is you account balance like 100K or something? i'm getting 2% on about 10K in my account. it's still a bit better than CD rates as they are now. plus the flexibility that a CD does not provide.

Lol I've got about $60 in my account and I'm getting ~5%.....it's just the cash rate in Aust. at the moment.
