Hi I am new.
Hey my name is Jason, I live in Northern California... I currently own a 1997 VW GTi that is undergoing a stage 4 1.8t swap done by me... I am looking into getting a porsche 944 NA as my daily driver, just looking to meet new people and expand my european car horizon. Before VW I owned a bimmer and did equal amount of research into them as I have with VW, so now I am looking into Porsche as well... Well here are some pictures of my current project:

Hi Jason, welcome to the board.

hah yeah I have kinda already made my way over there.. Just trying to meet some new people all over the places. Maybe get some direction away from 944 (if the 944 isnt a good canidate) and towards something else similar priced since I know minimal about them.

SCs are nice - I'm sure you can find one for a 944 price. Might be a little ratty, but still fun.
74-77 911s are nice - just be wary of the 2.7 engine. Get lots of history on any '74-'77 car, same with earlier cars. Carreras are very good too. You should check out the 911 board, too.

Boy, I'd sure tell you to hang out somewhere else until you meet these people on the rest of the board, first. If you meet people in the OT forum, you'll be pretty jaded about who we are here, whereas you're more likely to be impressed with the quality of people in the technical forums.
