Hello from the newest CSR
Hello there all. I'd just like to
![]() A bit about myself. Joined the Air Force shortly after HS, ended up in Alaska for my 4 years, stayed up there as a mechanic for a Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge dealership for a couple years and now I'm back home in sunny southern California. Love cars and I'm glad I'm back in the industry. I've personally never owned or worked on a Porsche or BMW (And from what I hear, I hope I never have to work on one! hehe). I don't frequent the boards as much as some, so PMing with problems won't get you immediate assistance. Feel free to email me at travis@pelicanparts.com or the main address...both end up in my inbox. Considering that I'll probably only hear from you if there's a problem with your order, I hope I don't talk to too many of you! ![]()

Steve,
Travis is actually a pretty smart guy (you have to have some brains to work on military guidance systems), enthusiastic and he's even a nice guy to work with. Knowledge will come with time on both Porsche and BMW. Unlike yourself, he will ask before assuming anything and he doesn't act like he knows everything.

Spelling & Grammar 101 "Bmw" is actually all CAPS (BMW) "Good luck I would think that would be mandatory." (I could be wrong, but that looks a lot like a 3rd graders run-on sentence to me. Are we "knowledgeable" people still using punctuation?) "Oh well I guess knowlege does'nt matter." (Missing punctuation after that "Oh well", and "does'nt" is actually doesn't. By the way, if your going to comment on knowledge, shouldn't you be able to spell it...knowlege) ROFLMFAO

I'm a little shocked to see Pelican employees on this thread slinging mud at listers. Guys, we pay your salaries through our purchases. It might serve you better to hold your criticisms to yourselves.
And yes, we do expect you to be knowledgeable. That's part of what we pay for when we order parts. Yesterday, I walked into a 4 Wheel Parts store down here in Irvine with the intent of dropping a thousand bux on stuff for my new truck. The dolt behind the counter knew nothing about what I wanted (common stuff) and spent the entire time with his nose in the catalog looking at the wrong stuff. I left abruptly, because I was so embarrassed for him, and went home and ordered everything off the internet. Just my humble .02...

In a mild, brief, detail-free explanation, the lister mentioned above used to work here, and did more than a few questionable things. I would never bash one of our listers/customers, as you are correct. YOU DO PAY OUR SALARIES. Personally, I love talking to our customers, as they not only co-sign my check, but also are fun-lovin' car guys having as much fun as their wives will allow them to, which is a description that fits me to a tee also. I do apologize if anyone else was taken aback by any comments I made, as I had no intention of offending any of you. God bless. As for Porsche/BMW knowledge, Travis is learning fast, and is quite knowledgeable about other cars. He is most certainly an asset.

Mine is a 99 Lariat...they are great trucks.
I hate to be an enabler, given you're shall we say adiction to speed, but you need to go to this site ASAP!http://www.ts************************/ They will make your truck silly fast. Ask for Dennis Perry (its sick that I remember the guys name after 4 years). He is considered the best in PSD high performance. Jim

A sample of some of their wares...
PowerFool2 TS Performance introduces the first Dual Stage Computer Controlled Nitrous System. The PowerFool2 was designed especially for the diesel applications. All wiring and solenoids are self contained in 2 boxes and are equipped with all the necessary hardware and fittings. • System includes: • Computer Controlled Command Center. • Self Contained Solenoid Box. • Plug in Wiring Harness. • Weather Pack connectors. • Wide-Open Throttle Switch. • Braided Nylon Nitrous Lines and fittings. • 2 Nitrous Nozzles. • 2 Nitrous Jets. • 10lb. Nitrous Bottle • Bottle Bracket. The PowerFool 2 makes Nitrous simple and takes away the entire headache of wiring. This system can be installed in numerous places, so if you have your own idea on an application that you would like to use you can. The PowerFool2 has many different applications that can be applied, such as the placement and the locations of your nozzles and the amount of Nitrous you would like to spray. This application can be used even if you have NOT O-ringed your heads. If you have stock heads the amount of Nitrous being sprayed should be limited. When using the Powerfool2 we recommend using a custom burned chip that will aid in gaining the best results. CAUTION! This system has the capability of producing up to 300hp and should be used in accordance to your application. If you have never used Nitrous before because of the fear factor you can now enjoy the added power without the confusion and stress that usually accompanies this feared power enhancer.

Richard
I have had the 125 chip for a few years now and have been pleased with it. I am not tryng to start another chip war....but I feel a definate difference. I am not sure it is 125hp worth, but the shift points are better, etc. I would say the chip is worth the money. I think he would refund you if you did not agree. The other stuff...like propane injection and the like... is the real deal. Lormax- I believe Motion prefers bridges as a more long term investment vehical.
