Wow!
A decade goes by fast, bought my PU used in 2015 with less than 20K on it. It's been fantastic, I did have a head bolt break and got them all replaced with the recommended version. Closing in on 100K now and I still really like this truck.

Son, you know you need to balance the carbs after rebuilding them, right?

No?, OK- now you know why.

I still can't understand the maneuvers and physics of landing a car in a tree on it's nose in a neighborhood

The rock to the right had a lot to do with it as well as poor throttle/steering inputs...
Bet that was a serious ticket, on the plus side all the neighbors were impressed

A couple from Rich and Skip's 5th excellent adventure focused on driving and photographing our elderly sports cars

I bought my 99 2500 in 2005 I think, maybe 2006.
Since GM no longer sells a 2500 4x4 suburban and a dealer friend of mine, told me a few years ago, if what I currently own was still available, it would start at $125k
I’ve had the transmission rebuild and upgraded, done the brakes, Bilstiens, bare metal paint, the fact that I could get a crate engine, with warranty, installed for less than $10k (like Glen did for his ElCamino) makes it a “No Brainer” that I would be dead, long before I spent the money on mine, before reaching the replacement costs.

Summer is in full bloom

Took my Trek E-bike to a local place called the Zimmerman Hillclimb. Walked it down to a landing, locked it up and started hiking up and down the stairs- great workout, rarely see anyone else and it’s tucked into a nice stand of trees providing shade. Three times up and down the 200 steps is enough for me.
I continued on and turned it into a 6 mile bike ride.

Preparing for a 4 day camping and cabin trip in the North Cascades, 2 nights camping on Ross Lake, 2 nights floating in a cabin on the Lake.
Cherished tradition for about 30 years now and I still get excited about it 😀

My sleeping pads have been replaced a couple times by thicker and thicker versions

Air bath time for my collection of sleeping bags

I was very surprised and very happy that I didn’t have any rust holes
951 exhaust tip, that I jokingly slid on in like 2005, never expecting it to stay on (no set screw, literally just slid it on) but 20 years later, still on, and I personally think it looks cool,

Another North Cascades adventure came to an end today.
Got to introduce the next generation to this playground.
My best buddy, his Son and Granddaughter Gemma came along for 2 nights camping on an island, in a lake, in the mountains then transitioning to a floating Cabin, on a lake, etc.
It’s always amazing and rewarding ❤️
