Took an overnight trip up over Washington Pass, Mazama and then up to Harts Pass at 6220’
New moon and the last of the Perseids meant time to exercise photography equipment- Starting with the IPhone

Random So Cal Summer pics:
Three owls together at the casa late one afternoon/eveing. Unfortunately very low light, but a record for the most we’ve ever seen at one time.    Ferdinand Magellan (named by my former USNavy navigator daughter!) coming to see me in the pool.   Quick trip up to Mt San Antonio (Baldy)  Looking north at the the infamous Cajon pass in the distance - from Baldy Notch  Day is done, gone the sun…

 More of a Tug NW style- The Skagit, named after the Skagit river I surmise. It worked the waters of Ross lake for decades, I suppose it just got too long in the tooth and too thin of the metallurgy to keep maintaining. It was up on Ross dam in 2008, got transported somehow to a flat-ish area a little below the dam and then cut to bits and hauled out. There is no road access to this area and had to be barged out. Seems to me it would have been easier to drag it down to Diablo and floated to where there is road access- 2008-
