Canada's PM says Saddam had WMDs

According to the Canadian PM, Saddam had all types of WMD and those are most likely inthe hands of terrorists now.

Bomb Canada....

damouth 05-11-2004 10:32 AM

Makes some sense logically though...

I mean if I were a blood hungry dictator about to get my butt kicked by the US what would I do with my WMD's?

- Destroy them? Heck no!

- Bury them in the middle of the desert and mark my GPS... maybe!

- Hand them out to all my terrorist buddies and buy them a plane ticket? "Have fun schtorming the castle boys!". Yup.

Taken directly from your link...........
When asked to assess the threat level since Saddam was captured by U.S. troops, Martin said he believes it has increased.

"I believe that terrorism will be, for our generation, what the Cold War was to generations that preceded us," he said. "I don't think we're out of it yet."

The first line of the article states that the PM "believed" Saddam had WMDs , not "Saddam had WMDs" as you post. The whole article is based in opinion, not fact. Again, objectivity being the issue. That being said, he also "believes" the threat level has increased post-Saddam Can't have it both ways now, Fint.
Hey, you posted it........

Obviously he "believes" that Saddam had WMDs even now after many claim it is not true. As the Canadian PM, one would suspect he has more information regarding this topic than you or I.

If the terrorists have posession of Saddam's WMD, then he is correct. The threat of WMD attack is increased. I see no conflicts in his logic.

Hi Fint. Here's a Ham Sandwich for ya.

fintstone 05-11-2004 11:10 AM

Looks tasty...you must be a democrat...pushing pork near election time.

fintstone 05-11-2004 11:11 AM

How was that?

lendaddy 05-11-2004 11:15 AM

Ofcourse the threat level has increased. What led you to believe otherwise? Regimes in the last throws of death are always the most dangerous. Deal with it, it's worth it.

True. How are you preparing?

lendaddy 05-11-2004 11:22 AM

By supporting my country and it's military, oh and not tearing the military down and emboldening the enemy. You?

Yep, if the terrorist have them, they are most likely in Canada now. . . .Hey, how come you Canadians let these guys camp in your country? (TIC)

Anyway, I doubt Saddam gave them to anyone. He's been really burned in the past by having his 'buddies' (he has none) hold his 'toys'.

He has a history of burying his 'toys' in the sand. He likely kills the bull-doze operators when they're done to ensure secrecy. (ala Egyptian royal tombs)

joeclarke 05-11-2004 11:46 AM

hmmm...

and the Canadian PM personally owns a steamship line with cargo ships sailing all around the world, including the arabian gulf.

and the Canadian Navy just intercepted a Portugese fishing trawler off it's east coast,

and Portugal failed to support the Iraq invasion and to be part of the coalition of the willing,

and Portugal is right next to Spain and Spain has had a bit of problem with terrorists lately.

and that David Frum guy he's Canadian and he was one of GW's favorite speech writers...

And they have lots and lots of Frenchmen in Canada,

hmmm....

sounds like a connection here?

island911 05-11-2004 11:49 AM

By voting with my conscience, not a party line.

What, Canada doesn't have a navy? I'm just quoting this...

Nah..intentional. It would get no argument. We all know the liberals love the muslim terrorists. Or else they would be be as upset over the recent american being beheaded almost as much as the Iraqi terrorist that had to wear the dog colar. I am not anti-muslim....just anti terrorist and terrorist sympathizers.
