Oh, I don't think we can limit it to the Middle East. We do the same thing.

I get your point, but I find it hard to compare our occaisional duplicitous foreign policy to that of the jihad-bent Islamic nations.

Despite what I read in the New York Times, I don't believe we are a terrorist nation.

"Despite what I read in the New York Times, I don't believe we are a terrorist nation."

Of course not. Depite killing more people than any other nation since the Iran-Iraq war, we're certainly not terrorists.

AH the joys of equivocation.

Has the US suddenly, without warning, but with full intent, bombed the hell out of civilians? Picking a target with a high density of civilians -that- is terrorism.

C'mon, weenie. . .give it a rest. We all know how good you are at being critical of your own government. Beaucoup brownie points for you.

There's no "better" country on the face of the planet.

As I've said before, we've done an excellent job in Afghanistan and Iraq of minimizing civilian casualties.

But that doesn't mean we can't still strive to be better.

Hiroshima wasn't exactly the heart of Japan's war machine.

"Hiroshima wasn't exactly the heart of Japan's war machine"

Hardly sudden, and definitely not without warning.

Actually, it was. Hiroshima was a major industrial center. That's why it was chosen.

Dresden is a better example.

No military targets at all.

Yup, pure revenge.

Based on this website and a recent documentary, I'm not sure it was that important a site.
