I was born a Democrat and I expect I’ll be a Democrat until the day I leave this earth. But I have grown mighty frustrated with the direction my party has taken over the last few years. OK then. He can call himself whatever he wants, but I think he's stretching pretty hard to say that GWB stands for good "old-fashioned" Democrat thinking.

Having been one of those good old-fashioned democrats, I would say that in many ways (much more than Kerry), he does. Miller was a brilliant democratic governor of GA and left office with an 85% approval rating. He could have delivered a lot of the south for the right candidate. Instead of listening to him, the party marginalized him...Their loss...GW's gain.
