WTF, Montoya?
 

If anyone could have been the cause of Shumacher's exit, it would have been JPM. Whoever is at fault on that deal, it's a classic case of oil and water. And I, for one, wish Montoya would just wash away.

What do you get when you mix a lot of talent with no brains? This year's last race might be Frank Williams' happiest day.

Oh well, congrats to Trulli and Button. They both deserve their success today.

i do not like JPM...........but why did shuey lock up his front left? wtf was he doing?...........i'll be watching for a press release or something on that incident.

JPM is the Tony Stewart of F1. The guy is a total A-hole. regardless of why the tire locked up, he didn't hit the wall without some help. Oh well, he wouldn't have won anyway. Can't wait to see how it all shakes out, Williams did apoligize to Ferrari for the incident on behalf of the idiot.

Post race interviews, Button said that the pavement in the tunnel is extremely slick, when going through at speed downforce keeps you locked in, at slower speeds it becomes treacherous.

With that being said...the pace car made it through ok...hmmm...

Why did he lock up his front? Well, he was half a lap from where the saftey car pulls off and he might have been working on the adjustable brake bias. Whatever, he wasn't going to take off and leave JPM, he was behind the freaking safety car! I'm sure there is blame for both drivers. Any other driver would have backed off and left some room. It looked like JPM nailed it and then couldn't hold the reins when he came up on Shoe, who was dicking around with his brakes.

Like I said, only JPM. I think he's won there once and not finshed any other races except today. I could be wrong on that, I'm not much on statistics.

I think Schumacher is to blame on this one. He messed up fooling around with the brake bias, locked up the brakes and slowed too much. He panicked when he saw the Montoya was going to pass by him and he shut the door on Montoya as he usually does. He forgot that the pass wouldn't count but by the time he remembered, he was already in the wall.

I don't think Shuie saw him coming. But, I wasn't in either car, so I'm sure I'll never know. I somehow doubt that he forgot he was behind a safety car. If so, I guess he better step out of the car.

Let's see, at several seasons at over 30 million a year, he could probably buy one of the teams. :D

Rikonen is someone who I feel for. Can't that guy catch a break? Second in points last year, narrowly missing the championship and off the chart this year. How frustrating.

hmm...I haven't watched it yet. Tivo will come to the rescue.

I'm actually going to watch this one a 2nd time. This one will keep you glued to the couch. I came back form the bathroom to see Shuie driving around with 3 wheels going straight and one looking plenty north. Replays always save the show.

I'm about a 1/3rd of the way into it...great race. Spectacular Honda kablooey.

Great race, but I do think Schu was to blame for that incident. Under a safety car, he locks it up and makes an agressive blocking move off the racing line - pushing JPM into the wall. Watch the start of most races and you'll see him try the same tactic straight off the line.

After not the most successful weekend for us, I am really looking forward to next weekend when we will already be at the Nurburgring for one of my home races."

Michael, as usual, showed a lot of class. JPM is a little cry baby idiot, even though he has quick hands and immense talent. Clearly it was Juan's fault. If you look at the lap leading up to the incident, you'll see Juan practically glued to the back of Michael's car. He was looking for trouble, IMHO. A lap down, figured he'd mess with Michael, as he loves to do.

It's really inconsequential, as Michael will continue to stomp Juan's ever-loving a$$ for the remainder of the year. :D

My take on it was that the ferraris were not as quick when they didnt have heat in the tyres, so straight after that safety car pulls into pit lane, both schu and jpm know it's on.

Schu was probably trying too hard to warm up his brakes and tyres. Montoya was probably too close. Darkish tunnel. Montoya made obvious move to try avoid. Schu drifted right.

Too many elements = Racing incident.

I would say it is a hard call to make without actually being in the car. I'm going to refrain from making a judgement on eithers guys carachter since both are great competitors with some history is dislike fo reachother. In any case JPM should be doign much better, he has slipped a bit in the last 10 months
