Not sure that was entirely his fault. That whole group looked to be sliding around a bit due to heavy braking.

It's never his fault.
![]() When is Williams going to give him the boot?

The best part is when he raised his hand to his teammate. As if to say: "Ralf, why did you have to spin around and take out my front wing when I punted you from behind making you lose control". Idiot.

Williams boys at it again.
But do they care, well not really as both drivers are out of the team next year, JPM to Mclaren and RS to ???? Toyota seems to be the hot tip. That's why they have had the team change, with Patrick Head moving u and Sam Michales taking over contro lof all the car deign issues. They need to ge thte car working and fast, then make sue they have a good one for next year. |

Just watched the race on TiVo.
I wouldn't be that hard on Montoya. Admittedly, he took out his teammate in front of a German crowd, kind of like knocking over the soup tureen at the in-laws' dinner. But everyone was understeering in the early laps, you could see that in the in-car shots of tight corners with the cars pushing, and Montoya just slid wide. Whaddya think about Sato? Strong drive, was set up to pass Barrichello in a lap or two (Barrichello admitted it in the post-race interviews), then chucks it all away with a suicidal move on Barrichello - hmm, why? Do you think Sato/BAR knew his engine was about to go, and he was trying to take Barrichello out in order to give Button/BAR the #2 position? I was also pleased at Webber's drive, from near-last to a points position. I'd really like to see him get to a decent team next year - still hoping for WilliamsBMW. Boy, is that team in disarray. At least McLarenMBZ has one overriding issue they have to fix - if they coudl stop their motors exploding, their season would instantly improve. WilliamsBMW just seem to be a stew of different problems.

Sorry, I blame Montoya. If you have a brain you *know* that turn is going to be nuts on the first lap and you go in with a reasonable pace. Nurburgring isn't Monte Carlo...plenty of opportunities to overtake.
I don't think Sato was working on team orders...I just think he's young an excitable. I was really pulling for him, but he just got impatient and tried to take Barrichello the first chance he got. If he had waited a lap or two he could have picked his spot and done it cleanly. I think its just an experience thing. So is Button/Sato slated to stay at BAR? If they continue on their pace they will be a force. Sato was insanely fast in provisional qualifying. btw, I think JPM is a putz too, but did you see him save it when he got in to one of the corners a bit hot? The guy has got quick hands. Too bad he's got the temprament of a 5 year old... |

I give JPM no slack. If the cars were not handling well on the first lap (when do they?), then he ought to understand that. He is repeating Micheal Andretti's season. He might as well come back to the US and race. I'd like to see him and Tony Stewart in sprint cars. Throw in JJ Yealy and a couple others. They would hand this guy his lunch. That having been said, and being fair, put the same group in IRL cars or CART. I think Stewart would still stomp him. And I really don't like Stewart either. I got it. Add Robby Gordon. Wow! You talk about fireworks. I'd buy a ringside seat for that. |

I agree, BARHonda has potential. I'd love to see them challenge Ferrari even more. I think they've got the speed and the talent - now a bit more experience/maturity and more than a bit of added reliability . . .
With the NASCAR season underway, there's not so much of interest on SpeedChannel, so having the F1 season pick up would be a real bonus. By the way, the announcers said current F1 suspension lack pivots, the suspension relies on the blades flexing. Does that sound right? I didn't think carbonfiber suspension arms flexed. True or just another inanity?

Todd,
Everything I have read says that Sato is going to stay as he is heavily supported by Honda. Bell, Two words- Season pass.... I sent you a PM.

Season pass good. I unfortunately erased the previous races (except Monaco) due to a lack of space (we're saving all the Sopranos from this season). I fixed that problem with a 2nd 120gig HD. Next step will be a combo DVR/DVD burner
