Audi A4s for sale?
This whole stupid "responsibility" thing has gotten to me as a new father, first I sell my 911T, and now I'm looking to get an Audi A4 instead of a 951. (Cue the sound of my wife's whip cracking)

Oh yeah, and I'll be getting a Porsche again, just not as my only car.

used Audis that are out of warranty can be expensive. You might ponder a Honda, and put the leftover money towards the next p-car.

Any German car will be more maintenance intensive than a Japanese one, but I think the overall experience is more rewarding. My wife has the boring reliable transportation in the form of a 4Runner, with another Porsche possibly a few years off, I want something that I at least want to drive. Plus, I do all my own maintenance and repair, so I'm not as concerned about the costs.

Tough decisions - I will look for you. With your price range, mileage will likely be high and you would be looking for a 95-98 model probably but I am sure they are out there. Wow, the closest are about 400 miles away. You may need to have the car shipped in.

you should go to audiworld.com and check to see the various issues with certain years. I don't recall them off the top of my head.

My Wife's got a '00 passat that she's leased for 4 years (BAH! 4 year least be damned). The car's great and the residual is fair so we're thinking of buying and trying to sell it.
It's really low mileage, V6, 4motion, power everything, blah blah blah... OT from this thread but do you think it'll be hard to sell in socal? Used car market sucks for the seller right now...

I don't think it will be hard to sell but price is everything. The best way to sell a car in my opinion is www.autotrader.com - list it in both the LA County and OC but do a price comparison first and set the lowest price you are willing to take and set your price close to it. Someone is always looking for a car.

Right now I'm trying to find something within a days drive from me to keep costs down, so VA might be a bit much. I'm still paranoid about buying a car sight unseen and having it shipped. I've spent a lot of time on audiworld.com, as well as VWvortex.com reading about the cars, really except for the occasional turbo failure on the 1.8T, they don't have any fatal flaws. For the money I have a '97-99 with about 100k is realistic, but they're all too far away. I hate Kansas.
