Damn, that looks just weird but a little cool. Who knows maybe Porsche will enter the Craftsman truck series.

island911 06-07-2004 09:44 AM

YIKES!

ZAMIRZ 06-07-2004 09:44 AM

Definately not gonna happen in the forseeable future, but I agree with 84porsche, it's a little weird but so cool :)

Ha! . .. I was thinking Subaru Brat. :D ...at least the El Camino has a relatively low CG.

I heard something like that a couple years ago.

Ya know what, I LIKE IT! It would be a perfect Porsche support vehicle: tow capacity to tow my car to the track, room behind the seats for 'dry' gear, and room in the back for track gear! (tires, jack, tools..etc)

Now if they can just price it affordably...

YES! If they know whats good for them (financially), they'll take over nascar! Now i have a reason to watch a bunch of grown men who talk like Billy Bob Thortin in Sling Blade and drive counterclockwise in a circle for 2 hours!

Can't see the photo but remember guys Porsche still builds true sports cars.

Too Bad they start at $100,000 and go north.

JavaBrewer 06-07-2004 01:35 PM

Oooh, I'll bet contractors everwhere are anxious to get their hands on that one  Ford and Chevy are quaking in their boots right now http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/clap.gif

UconnTim97 06-07-2004 01:36 PM

Might look a little better with a slightly larger cargo bed....just a thought

75'930cab 06-07-2004 01:40 PM

For some reason I like it! It looks better then the Cayenne SUV.:p

GrindingGears 06-07-2004 02:32 PM

Lol, can you imagine the wheel spin you'd have in the rain with that rig!

(i.e. no weight over the rear wheels)

osidak 06-07-2004 02:46 PM

Ok now that i have seen it I can do only one thing

PUKE

What the hell is Porsche thinking. What the hell are they doing to the brand they worked so hard to create.

It is official. I love Porsche but I would rather see the company go under than produce crap like that

Adam 06-07-2004 02:50 PM

At least it's a 2-seater.

cowtown 06-07-2004 03:08 PM

Wait, aren't pickups the product segment where buyers care least about handling? There's going to be a certain appeal if it does 13 second quarters, but some of the American pickups already do that...?

I just don't get it. Very few people are going to care about the trick suspension and cornering. And it doesn't haul a family, which was the whole pitch that justified the Cayenne.

Yeah, but it will haul my car (944S2) to the track! :D
