That's where the "bong of love" comes in. ;) One hit and everything comes out right.

no-way, dd . . . that's some sick stuff.

those in the links make michael jackson look normal.

I can't believe that link is even allowed here .. .nasty, nasty twisted freaks.

. .I suppose that's what they live for.:(

Superman 09-21-2004 02:45 PM

I warned you, Daddy.

And I just have to comment on the beauty thing. One thing the Fair does for you, is to desensitize you to appearances. It makes you stop making judgements based on appearances. Appearances are totally wacky, so you cannot. That being the case, you start to see people on the inside, instead of just the outside. And some folks are more ugly on the inside than on the outside. Mercifully, OCF folks are the opposite. And lastly, another thing you notice is that not everyone is shaped like Arnold and Britney. With clothes, we can simulate that, but without clothes, we're nearly naked. I've said before that this Fair does not have a sexual ambiance. It does not. It has a family flavor. But some of you are not going to understand how that might be the case.

Still I enjoy the pics because I've been there and had some very positive experiences. None of them have been romantic, except in the literary sense.

I dunno, Supe. I'm conflicted. The downside appears significant.
(But I guess two out of four ain't bad.)

dd74 09-21-2004 02:51 PM

All do respect, Jim, I can think of plenty family-flavored environments where I've had most of my clothes on.

Superman 09-21-2004 02:54 PM

You're doing well if you're just conflicted, and not plain confused like I am. See, as far as I know the two in the middle may be axe murderers, and the other two perhaps own Porsche speed shops. Still, with only the information we've got, I'd probably risk it with the axe murderers. Certainly the one on the right, anyway.

Superman 09-21-2004 02:56 PM

dd, the funny thing is that there is little difference. If you go to the Fair hoping to adorn yourself (or de-adorn) in such a way as to shock some people, or at least get their attention, you will fail. We take all the fun out of streaking.

island911 09-21-2004 03:10 PM

just a suggestion, supe; .. .change your link to direct specifically to your "fair" . .. someone:rolleyes: clicking your link, then on the other "fair" there is in for a nasty, nasty surprise.

Oh lord, you mean I was in the wrong place? I looked at those for no reason? You owe me Super, you owe me big!

island911 09-21-2004 03:27 PM

re: wrong place

yeah, we knew super was into abuse . ..

. .. but that "fair" was a bit much.

or did supe make it to this "fair" too?

Hmmm...sounds fairly exclusive to me. Wear the right clothes (or lack thereof), and you're welcomed in. But come in with, well, khakis and an oxford button down, and it's "I'm sorry, sir: Outback Steakhouse is down the lane."

island911 09-21-2004 03:43 PM

:D doncha know, dd; that if you wear khakis and an oxford button down, that you're 'ugly on the inside'? .. . all of the 'ugly on the outside' people count on this truth.

dd74 09-21-2004 03:49 PM

I don't know. I think I can pass the test. Put enough vodka in me, and sheeeit, as long as it ain't no dude and isn't 300+ pounds, well...

Superman 09-22-2004 06:52 AM

All manner of people are accepted. Judgements and prejudices are checked at the door, so it matters not what you look like on the outside. Plenty of Khaki there. What matters is whether you can respect our values of kindness and tolerance. If not, Outback Steakhouse is down the road and we'll give you a ride there.

Superman's not into hurting anyone, not even himself.

I don't get this part:

just a suggestion, supe; .. .change your link to direct specifically to your "fair" . .. someone clicking your link, then on the other "fair" there is in for a nasty, nasty surprise.

, but oh well. Superman has his limits, and he's not sure that Burning Man is appropriate for him. BM is all about hedonism. the Fair is all about family and community. Different gigs, I'm thinking. Remember, Superman is not pagan.

Hope no one was shocked (except lendaddy...I hope he was mortified, but I doubt it). Not for everyone. Without an open mind and open heart, the Fair might be emotionally stressful. IMHO. YMMV.

Overpaid Slacker 09-22-2004 07:04 AM

I'd just hope that leopard paint would wash off my face.

I loved this picture:

island911 09-22-2004 08:22 AM

Yeah JP . . that would be their poster of respect, values, kindness and tolerance. . .. doncha know. ..

lendaddy 09-22-2004 08:28 AM

As opposed to the ones I was mislead (CBS style) into viewing, Sup's little fair looks like nothing more than FantasyFest minus those annoying attractive people. More power to ya.

Superman 09-22-2004 10:45 AM

Yeah, when it comes to producing offensive, disrespectful propaganda, that's about as much as the hippies can come up with. Pathetic, I know. But it amuses them, so...... And it's true as well. In looking for positive impacts of the current administration, the one shining light is that people who have never voted before will be stepping into the poll booths.

I tried to direct surfers to page down to Oregon Country Fair. FantasyFest?

lendaddy 09-22-2004 10:53 AM

FantasyFest is a similar bodypainting, public nudity, free love, artsy festival in Key West every year.

Westy 09-22-2004 01:21 PM

Huh??
