C4S Cab - Will these things have "legs"?
From a bit of a spec perspective that is... Last year of the 996 (big deal), first and only year of turbo & C4 cab, will these hold some cache value over time?
I'm blathering - just came from drooling over a new C4S cab at the dealership. Even a color other than black or silver. Naw - they sold far too many 996's for these things to achieve the "I-gotta-have-it" value of the 993. Right? Just can't help but thinkin' - carerra's getting long in the tooth - the 993 turbo is OK - but cabs just rule, man! And there ain't no C4's in the stable.

The 996 just hasn't inflamed passion (in a positive sense, that is).
The Turbo, Turbo Cab, GT2 & GT3 are probably going to have 'legs.' The car to have, if you're well-heeled enough is the *only one in the world* silver widebody 993 Speedster built by the Factory for Jerry Seinfeld. It's currently up for sale, but since I did not win the lottery last week, I didn't call for a price.

I don't have a link, Neil. I only just saw the car last Sunday.
Seinfeld"s 'car guy' is Sam Cabiglio in Signal Hill, CA. I've seen his detailing shop referred to as "Sam's Spa", but I don't know if that's an official name. The area code would be 562 in that part of the world, and I imagine he won't be too hard to find.
