I think it's quite odd the car has stock wheels and not some mondo spinnaz.

Gettin in looks tricky. Could've been easier to get in if he welded them shut.

Ain't no thang. I actually got thrown *out* of prison for building this beauty. There's no justice. It handled like a DREEEM.

He just blew 4k on the doors, thats why all the dough is missing for the wheel upgrade. Wanna bet he puts on 18"spinners. Those are another 1,000 USD ea!

So maybe we need to retitle the thread, how to waste $8,000 on a Porsche...

I just don't know. I keep the pics around for the times I get tempted to paint one of the cars metalflake purple. Brings me back to earth! (shudder)

This is the one I meant to post-

It really is an early 911 too. Note the floor heat vent on the driver's side. Oh, the humanity!

Back to the doors. Seriously, why do they open like that on a Lambo?

It sure looks like it makes it harder to get in and out on the honda and this boxter install. I also wonder how much force it takes to push it up there???

Well there is a kit for my Dodge Ram truck too. That would be pretty funny to have a tow vehicle and a race car both set up with these lambo doors.

My understanding is that the door opens as normal, and then the hinge is spring loaded and can be "pushed up" or pulled down. It doesn't go from a shut position on the door striker immediately to the "sky high" mode in one swoop.

Why?

Why do people do this stuff? Might as well put gullwings on a 356. Or has it been done?

You know how it's a pain to change the hood shocks when they are toast and you are by yourself? (Holding up the hood w/ your head while using both hands for extraction purposes etc.

Imagine trying to change the struts in that assembly by yourself. Those doors can't be all that light hehe.

I like it. And speaking of hoods, I've got an engineering drawing worked up to raise the hood on it's hydraulically actuated centerfill cap and the have it spin and dance. Da freakin' bomb!!

And I need more neon for the interior...

Yo, whatup!

When I first looked at that picture, I thought the guy was clutching a bucket of the Colonel's finest Kentucky Fried while squatting next to his car.

I actually don't mind that look on the Boxster.

Hey Jackie O...and R Boyz

Are you watching this thread Jackie...this is U babe.....

Jackie O must be thinkin, "O Jackie how can I make BB2 into such a beauty...."

Now I have to admit the R Gruppe is pretty stupid, but this is way beyond their style.

The R Gruppe is a club for old Yuppies, and as such are hard drivin Porsche men who love nothin better than livin on the edge and that for them is.....their cell phones are used to let their wives know what time they are going to get home, or the old lady calls them and says for them to stop at the market to get a loaf of bread and a quart of milk on the way home. The most outlandish thing an R Gruppe member does is stop at Starbucks on the way home and get a Caffinated Double Caffe Latte...the caffenine tends to keep them awake at night..which again the old lady doesn't mind since she doesn't have to put up with his snoring..... and Gawd forbid an R Gruppe have more than one beer and a imported one at that....he you know is having difficulity controling his bladder and if he goes beyond that limit it's Pampers time to help control that incontinence. Yawn I think I'll go back to sleep now all this talk is tiring me out...after all I gotta hit the Casino later after midnight....
