Nice Recovery
Wonder if he could have made this recovery in a Tourweg?
http://r-e.co.il/movies/?f=rally.wmv |
Four sets of skidmarks ... one from the truck, one from the driver, one from the co-driver, one from the guy running away!
holy crap!
How in the hell did the driver avoid that drop off after that wild ride?
I have never seen anyone avoid a roll like that, OMFG!!
That is actually a good instructional video of how to save a roll by steering into it, in a "soft roll" it would be very effective. In a sports car w/o the extreme ground clearence you would not still be able to steer when the vehicle is that far tipped, however. |
And he keeps on racing like nothing happenned!
Ok I am impressed. The true question is would the pepper recover :)
Sorry guys I had to. I think that more pure dumb luck rather than skill and the driver pretty much just rode it out. I would like to see the Dakar Touareg do the same thing |

Mostly luck. If he were *that* skilled, the roll would've never started in the first place.
YOWZA! What do you guys think the "Pucker-factor" was? 9.5, 9.7?
I think that after that their a$ses where going
Manhole cover 10 cent coin manhole cover 10 cent coin manhole cover.... |
Damn, that's impressive. I'm sure you noticed that he re-centered the steering after both near-rolls. I vote 85% skill and 15% luck. The luck comes in mainly in avoiding the drop-off...
That got my heart rate up just watching !! I bet he got back to his pit crew and said "I meant to do that!"
the guy with the camera could've stood still and had one hell of a set of sequence shots :D
Now, that's what I call off-road!!
