Maybe we will get lucky and get Wayne or someone from Pelican to help a bit. More then anything, I just want to motivate a few people to do SOMETHING! I know I cant do enought to help everyone, but darn it, god gave me a mouth and an opinion, I sure as heck will use it for this cause!

Ya i agree.. if it's gonna be a big hassle to get a group thing going I'll just do my own little bit.

Same here - I'll wait a week and see if anything turns out here in Pelican, if not............I'll just keep trying. (and send my own donation)

k911sc - It's been done. Do you ever have anything positive to say? Did you make a donation?

bigrubber-jiminy-hypocrite, me without something positive to say? yes i do, often as matter of fact. i just find it difficult to put a "positive" spin on what you have to say much of the time. i guess we just share just different views of "positive", among other things.

i think your cause for the sudan is honorable. but, you slamming us in that thread for not forking over for YOUR favorite charity was quite offensive to me (especially with this follow up thread just a day later). how do you know that im not at work with charitable organizations? i just find my charities closer to home, one that i can see the results of, or know im making a difference. one of our problems is homelessness here in the san fran bay area. fixing that is my charity of choice, my mission if you will. in fact there is a 30 gal glad bag full of aluminum cans i save for the guy who lives under an overpass by my house. his toothless smile gives me great pleaseure when i hand over the cans.

i think the things in the sudan are horrid, and i will get to that in the propper thread in OT soon enough. stay tuned.

I wasnt slamming anyone - if you read it carfeully.

I was disapointed about the lack of attention to the cause. (it took over a day for just a reply after over 12 views.)

Also I never requested for anyone to give to MY favorite charity. I was just inquiring on the interest levels.

ok lets get this here where it belongs---

maybe slam was not the propper choice of words, just maybe. maybe it was you were questioning my ethics as i saw it. if you notice i never chimmed in on that thread till now. possibly because i find it better to ignore your takes more often than not. but i found it difficult to swallow the "what shall i spend this $500 on?" thread after this thread. hence bigrubberhypocrite.

inquiring to intrest level was not the way i read your follow up to the original post. i think after reading the entire post im not the only one that did not follow your intent.

by the way, happybirthday and you could really show me by posting a receipt for 5 hun to sudan relief. i would gush with positive relish fer yee.....

I said my wife was going to spend $500 on me,not me on myself.

I am not here to get acolades from you or anyone, my point was to motivate others to do some donations along with my small donation.
