that may be enough to toss the ticket.. pay a lawyer to do the deed.

You know, I would have Mul..she might have liked you since you are a conservative...but you blew it in you first post on this thread. Too bad.

CamB 07-19-2004 09:07 PM

Likes conservatives eh? Rules me out then. That, being married already and the several thousand km between us.

I agree with Ron - a couple of screwups on the ticket is, apparently, a good start to getting off it. If its important (matter of principle? does it mar the driving record? how many bucks?).

fintstone 07-19-2004 09:13 PM

Cam
Not trying to marry her off just yet. Maybe after she finishes medical school and gets a good job.

It is the principle...It is for $150...but it will increase the insurance a great deal.

:D

I appreciate you even more now fint...I probably wouldn't have been so delicate if somebody said something like I did...But know, it was just for giggles.

(No, I am not trying to re-ingratiate)

Fair enough Mul. Just remember that even attractive young women have fathers....

That's a puzzler. Maybe it was a reaction to the new car (jealousy). Maybe it was the right-wing bumper sticker (the Mul conspiracy theory).

I think you have some traction with the changed ticket.

BTW, if you're looking for another '04 IS300, I have a friend selling one to get a Porsche!

with gun collections..LOL

Tech..the one she has is only a week old. Got the dealer to replace the 03. After the 10k service (oil change), they suddenly discovered the crank bearings had gone bad and it needed a new engine (under warranty). I suspect they forgot to replace the oil before they ran it. I was able to negotiate a pretty sweet deal for a replacement 2004.

She already had Porsche a few years ago...she gave me her '74 (after I promised not to sell it) because it was a bit too difficult to drive (before my new engine) and had no A/C. She wanted a Boxter S, but had to settle for the Lexus.

Fortunately there are still guys like Mul, willing to help a pretty girl out, in distress . . or out of a skimpy-dress. . .or. ..
Pervert. :D

but maybe you'll tickle the exotic streak in 'em imo? Actually, the whole package is relatively exotic. Do you surf or climb mts in a relatively exotic, to a US breather, country? Offer 'em that you'll be available for at least a tour after you see who your dealing with. Oh yeah, any green eyed blondes that are friends of pelicanheads in the US is a friend of yours out in the exotic western Pacific, huh?
btw, ever meet any head hunters from those islands?

Laser rather than radar? Those only need to be on for 3 seconds to get a lock, and would not be detected by a radar detector. Maybe the cop had a radar detector detector LOL.

I agree more pics would help the situation greatly, even though I'm also a father of two girls. ;)

Well if she's been dating only conservatives, then she certainly has a pleasant surprize waiting for her.

Doesn't mean anything more than he made a mistake when he first wrote the ticket. Happens all the time. Not enough to get the ticket dismissed. Just call up the prosecutor for the county the ticket was written in and ask to have the ticket amended to a "non-moving violation" or a "defective equipment violation." They might go for it. Of course they will probably jack up the fine, but you are looking at keeping your daughter's insurance down.

Nah, he marked on the ticket that he was using radar, besides my detector is a laser detector too. It might be too late to react to instant-on, but it would certainly alarm.

Nah she only dates smart guys. She knows that anyone fooled by liberal propaganda is dumber than a box of rocks.
