Ladies and Gentlemen, I had a vision last night, it came to me in a dream, a music video of two bald men, in musle shirts, on a catwalk. Yes that is right!
I'm too sexy. By Right Said Fred. Why had no one thought of this yet? Well because most of will say this song is horrible, but deep, way deep, down inside, we like to think of ouselves as "too sexy" and our Porsches too. Maybe we need a self help group. I'll Start: Hello, my name is Erik, I own a Porsche and I am too sexy. ps I also like "your so vain" by Carley Simon |
anything by Creed.
or any of the Creed-wannabe nu (insert umlots) metal bands - Nikelback, Godsmack, Disturbed, Staind, Tantric, Three Doors Down - they all sound like the same friggin band to me. Where are you when we need you, Kurt Cobain?!? At least Thom Yorke is still (physically) healthy and making great music. |

Anything by the Beatles. http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/pukey.gif
I know I'm gonna get burned but I can't stand 'em. |
Ratt? surely you jest...with an epic like this? Careful...they'll put you on your shelf :p
Out on the streets, that's where we'll meet You make the night, I always cross the line Tightened our belts, abuse ourselves Get in our way, we'll put you on your shelf Another day, some other way We're gonna go, but then we'll see you again I've had enough, we've had enough Cold in vain, she said (Pre-chorus) I knew right from the beginning That you would end up winnin' I knew right from the start You'd put an arrow through my heart (Chorus) Round and round With love we'll find a way just give it time Round and round What comes around goes around I'll tell you why Dig Lookin' at you, lookin' at me The way you move, you know it's easy to see The neon light's on me tonight I've got a way, we're gonna prove it tonight Like Romeo to Juliet Time and time, I'm gonna make you mine I've had enough, we've had enough It's all the same, she said (Pre-chorus) (Chorus) Yeah! Solo Out on the streets, that's where we'll meet You make the night, I always cross the line Tightened our belts, abuse ourselves Get in our way, we'll put you on your shelf (Chorus) Round and round With love we'll find a way just give it time, time, time, time Round and round What comes around goes around I'll tell you why, why, why, why Round and round |

I cant for the life of me remember the name of teh song or artist, but it was the single that grated on my nerves like fingernails on a blackboard all through one summer: Refrain went something like: Nobody gonna break my stride/nobody gonna slow me down/oh no/I've got to keep on moving.... Seemed to be sung by a dude with a couple of clothespins on his nuts. Someone please fill in the blanks... Oh yeah, "Everybody wang chung tonight" also sucked. |
Anything by Bruce Springstein.....

Ok..Let's see how old you guys are here. anybody remember a terrible group called " the waitresses" with a real skanky singer.
The song was called " I know what boys like" man that was the worst. Or what about I want candy??? Who did that song? was it the Plasmatics? Wendy O williams...no wonder she killed herself. |

I was going to offer this earlier but I really wanted to see how long this thread would go before it was mentioned.....it's been long enuf....
Vanilla Ice......Ice, Ice Baby. I think we NOW have an undisputed, uncomparable piece o c-rap to bestow our collective hatred upon. This 'mistake' is actually worse than ANY Beatles wretched horror. Enjoy. |
oh, we haven't even scratched the surface yet, baby ;)

"I want candy"? I thought that was by MC P. Pants? ;) (Okay, well nobody probably got that reference, but it was worth a try)
I also hate the Sex Pistols. I love late 70s/early 80s british punk, but the Sex Pistols were basically a boy band (the members were "collected" by Malcolm McLaren, originally to form a band for the former lead singer of the New York Dolls), and basically just tried to be controversial instead of making good music. Thank God for the Clash! |
I saw bow wow wow live when they opened for the Pretenders (this was about '80 or so). It was instructive to see the two bands back to back. You could see how hard bww sucked and how hard the Pretenders rocked. Chrissie is one of the goddesses of rock. I remember some guy grabbed her pant leg (leather of course) and she hauled off and kicked him in the face.
I fell in love that moment... |
Speaking of face-kicking...
Or not. "Live and Let Die" by McCartney has lyrics that make me nauseous: 'in this ever-changing world in which we live in' Huh? Did the producers bounce his songwriting check? Clear to see who was the commercial hack in the Lennon/McCartney team. |
