My favorite worst song is "Billy Don't Be A Hero" by Bo Donaldson and the Heywoods. I think I remember playing that one 5 times at Waffle House before they escorted me out.

Safety Dance by Men Without Hats

S-s-s-s A-a-a-a F-f-f-f E-e-e-e T-t-t-t Y-y-y-y
Safe, dance!

[Spoken]
We can dance if we want to
We can leave your friends behind
'Cause your friends don't dance and if they don't dance
Well they're no friends of mine
I say, we can go where we want to
A place where they will never find
And we can act like we come from out of this world
Leave the real one far behind
And we can dance

[Sung]
We can dance if we want to
We can leave your friends behind
'Cause your friends don't dance and if they don't dance
Well they're no friends of mine
I say, we can go where we want to
A place where they will never find
And we can act like we come from out of this world
Leave the real one far behind
And we can dance
Danc¨Ĥe!

We can go when we want to
The night is young and so am I
And we can dress real neat from our hats to our feet
And surprise 'em with the victory cry
Say, we can act if want to
If we don't nobody will
And you can act real rude and totally removed
And I can act like an imbecile

[Refrain]
I say, we can dance, we can dance
Everything out of control
We can dance, we can dance
We're doing it from wall to wall
We can dance, we can dance
Everybody look at your hands
We can dance, we can dance
Everybody takin' the cha-a-a-ance

Safety dance
Is it safe to dance
Is it safe to dance

S-s-s-s A-a-a-a F-f-f-f E-e-e-e T-t-t-t Y-y-y-y
Safe, dance!

We can dance if we want to
We've got all your life and mine
As long as we abuse it, never gonna lose it
Everything'll work out right
I say, we can dance if we want to
We can leave your friends behind
'Cause your friends don't dance and if they don't dance
Well they're no friends of mine

[Refrain]

Is it safe to dance, oh is it safe to dance [6x]
Is it safe to dance

YUCK!

She's So Fine(Axis-Bold as Love).. Noel Reddings lame attempt at rock an roll.. I still can't believe Jimi allowed that crap on an otherwise stellar album.. the guitar and drums are good though ;)

C'mon now. It's not *that* bad.

Eric Clapton "Wonderful Tonight" gets my vote. Sorry, I know Clapton is a badass, I like most of his music but this song really pisses me off. Way too sappy.

I wonder who's ex-wife he dedicated that song to?

bob tilton 07-21-2004 07:18 PM

any song from the greatful dead...yeah i said it.

Zeke 07-21-2004 07:33 PM

Anything they play at Orchard Supply Hardware or Ralph's supermarket.

It's not the worst song of all time, but it is the one that annoys me the most and it's an oldie from the 60's. "Sugar Shack."

There are sooooooo many really bad songs. Anyone want to think Wayne Newton or Barry Manilow? Maybe Newton doesn't write music, but if he sings it, he makes Don Ho and Dean Martin look like the best.

This is too broad a question.

lendaddy 07-21-2004 07:40 PM

"The Biz"??? You make it sound like he had a career. Hell maybe he did, what do I know:)

Moses 07-21-2004 07:41 PM

You guys are a bunch of lightweights.

"I am, I said" Neil Diamond

If you listen to it three times in a row, you might have tremors, seizures and sudden violent evacuation of your bowels. If you follow that with "Cracklin' Rosie" your eyes will roll back in your head and you will remain unresponsive for a decade or two.

Makenzie71 07-21-2004 09:47 PM

Anyone remember a song back in the 90's called "Chemestry"? That song sucked ridiculously large donkey balls.

cantdrv55 07-21-2004 10:22 PM

Anything rap. It's not music, it's almost all slang and I just don't get it. Maybe I'm getting old and crotchety.

Tyson Schmidt 07-21-2004 11:41 PM

"Never gonna give you up" or whatever it's called, by Rick Astley.

I used to have nightmares from how bad that song is.
