Ok..Let's see how old you guys are here. anybody remember a terrible group called " the waitresses" with a real skanky singer.
The song was called " I know what boys like" man that was the worst. Or what about I want candy??? Who did that song? was it the Plasmatics? Wendy O williams...no wonder she killed herself.

"I want Candy" == "bow wow wow"... sexy babe with a mohawk in a wet t-shirt ;) I had her many times in my dreams at 14 years old. :o

"I want candy"? I thought that was by MC P. Pants? ;) (Okay, well nobody probably got that reference, but it was worth a try)

I also hate the Sex Pistols. I love late 70s/early 80s british punk, but the Sex Pistols were basically a boy band (the members were "collected" by Malcolm McLaren, originally to form a band for the former lead singer of the New York Dolls), and basically just tried to be controversial instead of making good music. Thank God for the Clash!

I saw bow wow wow live when they opened for the Pretenders (this was about '80 or so). It was instructive to see the two bands back to back. You could see how hard bww sucked and how hard the Pretenders rocked. Chrissie is one of the goddesses of rock. I remember some guy grabbed her pant leg (leather of course) and she hauled off and kicked him in the face.

I fell in love that moment...

Huh? Did the producers bounce his songwriting check? Clear to see who was the commercial hack in the Lennon/McCartney team.
