As mentioned above, your camera seems to do very well at high shutter speeds! Then again...blazing sun and 105° temps help with "action" lighting a bit.
 (Damn, it's been hot here the last few days!)FWIW I have seen 100mph "tank top n' shorts" road rash up front and personal, and it is not pretty. Fortunately, it wan't personal enough to be me, just a friend
