good used laptops?

Hey Guys, the wife and I are in need of some new laptop pc's, but aren't keen on dropping 1500+ on a new one. Anyone got info on good places to get refurbs or other good systems?

Thanks!

I am in the same boat. If a Dell is o.k. you can try thier website and look at refurbished computers. I believe they come with factory warrantys.

Get a refurbished Dell or IBM Thinkpad.

I do not know if it is a "local" phenom, but out here we have "The $199 Computer Store" that sells used and refurbished equipment starting at the price in their name. Obviously, the cheaper ones would be the older, slower ones, but they have right up-to-date stuff as well.

Get an older refurbed Dell and you should be fine.
