LOL, this outta be good
Just down a half gallon of pediolyte before bed, works for me, but I always forget to buy it In a pinch water or gatorade will do. BEFORE BED! Once morning comes, it's too late. Its a matter of hydration.

-Low quality booze will make you feel ill no matter what, so avoid it. If you can't drink decent stuff, don't drink at all. -Too much booze will dehydrate you, and a hangover is usually due to dehydration. So, try really hard to remember to drink a couple of glasses of water before you pass out from the booze. You might p*ss yourself in the middle of the night, but I'd rather do laundry than nurse a hangover.

Tonight - water.
Last night- Jack and diet and crown + sprite. repeated until last call... Yes, water helps much, but don't guzzle a bunch or you'll puke. Increased smoking whilst hammered will also cause the hang. For some reason greasy food in the morning helps fix things. I'm a veteran at fixing hangovers. Lots of practice... rjp

I'm an expert at inducing the puke. I think it's because after the puke I feel clean enough to keep rolling.. especially on boats. Didn't even consider the smoking.. hmmm, I manly chain under proper circumstancescess...... thanks on that one. "greasy food".. yeah I guess so. When younger and stronger I always did the 3am-4am Diner trip. and 'cause I'm more worn I do vitamins and that package gym drink Myoplex meal replacement with milk.. that's pretty good no matter what your age but more serious the older you are. " fixing hangovers".. man, I've never been good at that. Even if I can get thru the big am blast there is always some remanents of it all day. Thanks for the cig tip.....

Fixing a hang? Hmmm. Puke, don't know why but it helps. Then drink fluids, rinse and repeat maybe three times. Havn't needed the binge and purgr fix for a few years and likely won't again, but it works. Use to have to weld all day after a party night and the above method got me through. Why do we do this to ourselves
I'm better now, no really!

A drunk was in front of a judge. The judge says "You've been brought here for drinking."
The drunk says "Okay, when do we get started."

I've had a weekend of Sapphire-n-tonics (is it just me, or does Schweppes taste better than all the other tonics out there?)
Gin guys, I know it's hard to switch once you're used to the Sapphire flavor, but if you have a chance try "Hendrick's Gin" as well as "Danesbury's or Daresbury's(sp?) Quintessential Gin." As far as single malts, my new fave is Springbank.

Pedialyte for hangovers--that's brilliant! Are any of the flavors drinkable for adults? Had the grape and it wasn't pleasant.
As for liquor... I'm with Woodman on gin--the Plymouth is amazing for drinking straight or in a dry martini. Really nice pepper and pine aromas instead of the overwhelming juniper most "high end" gins reek of. For after dinner I'm a fan of Delamain Cognac. It's big enough to be readily available, but you're not paying a huge markup for some "coor-vwasss-eee-aaaay" marketing BS. Never got into the more common single malt Scotches. They all seem to be competing to see which one can taste most like it was filtered through a big Scottish turd. Then my boss gave me a bottle of Glenlivet Archive 21 y.o. for Xmas. A Cognac among scotches! |

No, they are all horrible, I think the "flavor" on the bottle is more a description of color than taste Just drink it's salty goodness and feel it's power. It works.

After many years of careful "study" I've come to the conclusion that mixing beverages (wine, beer, spirits) and or poor quality is a guaranteed hang over producer, as are drinks high in sugar content. I stick to the same beverage for the day without fail.
Now that I broken into the 40 year barrier I've found that drinking more than 3 glasses of anything is going to affect me the next day. I always start pounding the water and take 4 Ibuprofen before bed. If i've gone way over the limit then water and the Ibuprofen bottle at bedside with the obligatory prayers are in order. Friday - Sauza Margaritas over ice with fresh oranges, limes, and lemons Saturday - nada, dinner & movie theatre with kids Sunday - Bottle of Edna Valley Chardonnay |

Well it's Monday so it's Heineken.
Over the weekend at a Porsche show in Columbus- some Guinness and a few Corona's. Normally, Tanqueray martini or tonic or a Wild Turkey and water. Cheap buzz- 30pack of Miller Lite.
