I am willing to consider cogent arguments from anyone.

All I do is ask folks to give them, and they are few and far between. Singpilot qualifies as one who shoots straight. So does Techweenie, and a small handful of the others. I may not agree with all of their arguments, but doggone it, they are generally respectful and generally do not stoop to names, labels, cute plays on words and downright misrepresentations.

Statements are made, sometimes no source for the info, and everyone is supposed to nod, smile and say..."Gee, that must be correct, look who posted it". Others are posted with sources far right or far left and those also beg questions.

Looking for logic, but like the Doc said, "It's all politics". I suppose that explains it.

PLEASE note I think both ends do this.

And, I if agree with "X" today, i'm a "liberal". If I don't agree with him tomorrow, what am I? Conservative? Unless an individual closes off their mind completely and lets a philosophy totally dictate their thought processes, there will always be areas where this individual questions the party's wisdom.

Frankly, I would be uncomfortable at either party's convention.
