I need a Zoom-zoom pick-up truck!

I'm looking at older Mazdas for general runs to the dump and hauling crap around... (and for carrying a Hellcat to JP's place once per year).

I'm looking at a '93 (B2200) with 150k that the guy wants $1500 for. Right in my snack bracket.

Any words-to-the-wise on these?

Good truck. If it is running ok now, now reason why it shouldn't see 200K and beyond

Friend of mine has a B3000 with over 300K on it... Just had to get a new motor, but it's been solid like a rock, without a big price.

Reminds me of the axe that my lumberjack uncle used to (and probably still does - he never gets new material) brag about...

"yep, this is the best axe I've ever owned, I've had the darned thing for goin' on fifty years now. Only had to replace the head twice and the handle three times. This here axe will last forever, not like that garbage they make today!"

Yeah, except the engine replacement just happened at 300K.

I have a friend that had an older B2200 truck that smoked like a mosquito truck but then he bought a new B4000 and just bought a Mazda 3 and he's a car guy so I guess he figures they're pretty good.

i think removal of the rear window of a 944 creates a gentlemans pickup with zoom, Der Camino

My dad as a 89 B2200. Been through hell and back. The paint is falling off it (cheap collision repair) but she does the job and does it with out complaining.

Hauled 1500 pounds of mulch in it a month or so ago. Didn't have much of a rear suspension while loaded down.
