I've seen many 6 and 8ft ones around here when my grandfather used to take me hoop net fishing. Right here in the bayou near my house we used to see 3 and 4ft ones all the time. kind of scary when you're a kid swimming. lots of teeth!

I had em back in my younger days when I was into aquariums. Around 12"-18" in length. Mean as hell. Feed em live goldfish. Much more entertaining than pirahnas or oscars.

Used to see them in Goodby's Creek when Dad and I was go up and down fishing off a skiff when I was a kid (JAcksonville FL - next to the southside hooters).
Scared the heck out of me.

last time i went, there was a big-un in the aquarium in SF. they are real. i think you use nylon lures that tangle into their teeth rather than hooks.
