Deltona, FL muderers - What would you do with them?

My stomach turned over when I read about the 6 individuals murdered at the home in FL. The lady was beaten so terribly she had to be identified with dental records. Truly sick!

If the men are guilty, I would send them to the worst neighborhood in Iraq. Tatoo big US flags on the chests of the convicts and let them roam free. I bet they would have fun (yeah right).

I can barely comprehend the rationale of one person murdering another person, much less having the rage to exact such violence. An Xbox for 6 murders?
Uggggg,
Jürgen

Execute them, and sterilize all of their immediate relatives. PDQ.

(edit)

Execution by public hanging, of course.

Splice the Xbox power lines to their genitals and let the other prisoners play Madden Football for hours?

Execution would be too kind. Too merciful...

Maybe I'm jaded; beatings, knifings, and murders hardly phase me anymore.

But then, this afternoon, I had the distinct pleasure of reviewing and verifying the charges on a sailor who's recently transferred to my facility. The charges are fairly straightforward, and not particularly outlandish -- kiddie porn, child molestation, sexual assault of a minor, that sort of thing. What really raised my hackles was reviewing the evidence. If you have a weak stomach, please stop reading now; I'm serious. The mother and father had both been married several times before, and both had a number of children from each marriage. Most of the children were psychologically or mentally disturbed in one way or another -- ADD, ADHD, retardation of varying degrees, prior abuse cases from previous marriages, etc.

Little things from the mother's statement leapt out at me. She had CPS on speed dial; it was not abnormal for her to have children taken by CPS. Restraining orders were the norm. She admitted to having been abused as a child, and suspected that he had been, too. She knew he was waking up at 3am every morning to "use the computer," but was not suspicious about why. The father had fantasies about sexual encounters with the children, neatly documented in his journal. The kid brother (age 9) had molested his older sister (age 11), and all 3 of the kids living in the house (male and female) had been molested by the father in one way or another. The 14yr old girl was too mentally handicapped to wash her own hair, so both parents aided in this function, taking turns. (shudder)

Yeah, it's a sick world in which we live. Stories like this one cross my desk from time to time, and they always make my stomach turn.

Murders? Beatings? Yup, those barely phase me any more.

if nothing else, at least some severe beatings would be appropriate. let them fear whether the same fate as that of their victims will befall them

I have a feeling that there is a lot more to this story than is being said. I had a friend that was shot during a drug deal and the news reported that it was over a video game. Welcome to Florida.

I know this sounds harsh, but if we had friday night live executions on TV this sort of thing would slow down. No court, no lawyers, no jurys,no plea bargins. Hope you did the killing on a sunday so you live the rest of the week to say good bye to relatives.

I know, I know harsh but, things are getting out of hand.

Friday night executions on TV. That's perfect. That way, we get to enjoy our vengeance while at the same time promoting our Christian principles for all the world to see.

That's the problem. Do we sanction the idea of official vengence/retribution? I don't want to live in a country w/ Iran or Saudi Arabia's criminal justice system, but that's just me. I'm no different than anyone else here, (well, most), , my immediate reaction is to "hang 'em high"......

I also realise that my immediate reaction is not usually the best reaction. What to do w/ them? Beats the hell out of me. (OK, that was really bad).

capital punishment has never been shown to be a deterrent to crime

Worse yet....... "...Erin Belanger, 22. She was singled out for a beating so brutal that even dental records were useless in trying to identify her."

Whatever they get wont be as bad as this.

Capital punishment may not deter crime, but I'd say that it definitely reduces the odds of repeat crimes, though.

(lib whine)We must love them, teach them the error of their ways, and help them become better people and productive members of society. After all, it's society's fault that they've done bad things.(/lib whine)

Seriously, WTF are you going to do with people like this? Let them sit in a room with cable TV and be a burden on the taxpayer for the next 50 years? Don't be ridiculous. Maybe at one time incarceration was about rehabilitation but now it's about learning to love the man/boy love lifestyle and picking up new ways to commit crimes.

There's no "retribution" in capital punshiment. You are eliminating a source of unsolvable problems. By making it a public hanging you are pointedly demonstrating the repercussions of your actions.

I've passed more than one on the highway near my home, and I know of no better way to clean up the trash on side of the road.

More often than not it's a women's cellblock, though. Odd.

Now, THIS is deterrent: http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/m/miracopjail.htm

That aside, Burnin' Oil, I think you should take them in and give them a good foster home, it's obvious you think they're simply wayward children.

So what would you do with them, Supe? Straight answer, skip the Ellsworth Toohey doubletalk.

Let me ask my wife . . .Nope, she says "no" . . . oh well. . . What does the threat of capital punishment mean to these wayward youth? not much. However, a life sentence of chain gang work in the AZ sun, all day every day until death, now that would be punishment . . .
