hey, the 30-30 was and IS the eskimo's weapon of choice. and those crazy dudes shoot polar bears with it! and that is a crazy insane bear! (the only bear, to actively hunt all creatures, including man). bullet placement is key.

A gun nut (said in a nice kinda way) in SAN FRANCISCO!!!!

I took the wife and kids to Red Lodge, MT this summer for vacation. We visited Yellowstone five days. We saw 14 bears, 8 of which were grizzlies. Of the grizzlies, two were sows with cubs within camera distance. I've visited Yellowstone three or four times and worked there 22 years ago. I had never seen a bear there until this year. Even the locals thought the number of bear sightings was strange this year. Weird.
