no fault insurance?

do this end up costing the honest consumer more or less? i dont understand how this really works. which states are no fault?

I don't know exactly how it works, but do know that Michigan is a no fault state. Maybe someone from MI will chime in with some explanation.

NJ is no fault.

Basically, No fault guarantees that your insurance company will pay your damages, up to a limit specified in your policy, and no matter who's at fault.

States include: DC, FL, HI, KS, KY, Mass, MI, MN, NJ, NY, ND, PA, UT

Dunno how it works in all states, but consider (1) a one car accident or (2) an under/uninsured driver
