Strange PC issue, website turns my computer off!!!!

I am in a Fantasy Football League and it's through sportsline.com(CBS). Anyway, everytime I try to check the league scoreboard my computer restarts?????? No damage is done, but I get the blue (beginning pysical memory dump) screen. Anyone have a clue? Just plain weird.

First thing would be to check for viruses and / or spy ware.
what virus scanner do you use?
what firewall do you use?
what version of windows / mac os do you use?
what browser do you use?
are you up to date with patches from microsoft / apple?
what is the web address that makes the crash?

check with window updates, that sound much like a virus i experienced a couple months back. my problem was not web site specific, but as soon as i got on a window would pop up and show a count down for 60 seconds then it would shut off.

good luck

your computer is tired of all those ultra-conservative sites you visit...fiinally has to quit.

Of course the left-wing computer has another problem. It never even starts...just sits waiting for public assistance.

I use AGV antivirus, it says fine. I use adware, it says fine. I use Zonealarm firwall, it says fine. It's just crazy, it's just the one site???? And it's a respected site too?

There is no countdown, just [click] off you go.

First thing i would do is make sure that you have all of the microsoft patches installed (don't install sp2 until this issue is fixed if you havn't allready)
next i would verify that the virus scan results are correct. go to www.mcafee.com and select home user. there should be an option for a free scan over the web that will tell you if there is an infection.
then i would clear all temp files by going into internet explorer, select the tools menu and select Internet Options. Under Temporary Internet Files click delete files (include all offline content). then i would also delete cookies (will require you to re-login to sites that you frequent). close internet explorer and then re-open it and try the site.

let us know if that makes a difference.
