The guy makes no bones about hating Bush and Republicans in general. I don't think even he would say he is "fair". |

The issue is does he equally hate Kerry and/or Clinton and the Democrats? Yes, he does, though "hate" is probably too strong. "Critical" is a better word. This is why he's INDEPENDENT. |
bwahhahahaa. . .
man, just cuz the guy will make fun of Clinton getting a BJ from a fat chick, hardly balances the guy to INDEPENDENT. |

President Bush is supporting Arnold but a lot of Republicans are not, because he is actually quite liberal. Karl Rove said if his father wasn't a Nazi, he wouldn't have any credibility with conservatives at all. Jim Bakker spells his name with two k's because three would be too obvious. The Clinton White House today said they would start to give national security and intelligence briefings to George Bush. I don't know how well this is working out. Today after the first one Bush said, 'I've got one question: What color is the red phone?' Sounds like a well rounded centrist to me:rolleyes: If you seriously think he is independant I can only laugh. Like I said before I doubt he would call himself an independent. |
Hey! Cut the guy a break. That probably goes for independent in LA.

I too wonder about CBS' and Rather's stance, not that I get my quickie news from anything on mainstream TV. I'd think their news credibility would be more important to them (bottom line $$) than reveal obvious political favoritism this "forged" document has shown so far. Maybe there's something we still don't know. Remember, all we know is not everything there is to know - not only with these Killian papers.
HBO's Politically Incorrect is a comedy show with political commentary, and since it's campaign time what better subject to laugh at? As far as being fair and balanced, it's not - but it's not altogether one-sided. It's a comedy show with political commentary. Didn't I just say this? This isn't Meet the Press nor is it the Sean Hannity Show that is unapologetically one-sided. It does have its share of panelists from both sides who aren't shy in expressing their opposing POVs. They're sometimes funny as well as sometimes insightful (remember, comedy show with political commentary). Mahr is funny. He has good writers. I'd say 80-20, but the 80 isn't necessarily for Kerry. That 20% makes a difference, otherwise it'd be like Hannity's show. Unlike Hannity's unrelenting, holier-than-thou attitude, Mahr's show is funny, entertaining and informative. I can't even say that about CBS News. MHO, Sherwood |
Did you look for any anti-Democratic comments? No?
Lendaddy, your transparency never ceases to amaze me. What's really funny is Maher couldn't give a **** what anyone in wherever-you-are Michigan thinks about him. So chew on that, love. SmileWavy |

dd, I usually think your posts are pretty well reasoned, etc. But I've got to disagree with you on this one. I've only watched Maher a handful of times over the years, but the impression he left with me is one of just another raving liberal masquerading as a middle-of-the-road talking head. Maybe I haven't watched him enough .....
