I think it's funny that people watchin Jon are more likely to be educated than people watching Bill...

Even if they did actually do a "study", educated is a neat term. Considering a LARGE percentage of his audience is in college that would skew the results, no? I mean I bet that SpongeBob viewers are more educated than Begala viewers by the same standards. Stewart is funny though.

The study assessed the percentage of college graduates that watched the shows, not current students.

Here's the quote from the CNN article:

Viewers of Jon Stewart's show are more likely to have completed four years of college than people who watch "The O'Reilly Factor," according to Nielsen Media Research."

I think it's funny that people watch either show. I'll tune in just to get a laugh. Have you ever been in the same room watching Bill Maher with someone who is just squirming, becoming disgusted as to why we're even watching this crap? I have, and it was quite fun, for me.

Doesn't surprise me, especially in today's fast paced world. Most of the educated workers have stressful jobs an watch TV to relax and avoid having to make decisions for an hour or two. What's truly laughable is people who think that education is a measure of intelligence or success, it is in fact often a hinderance to success. I can site many example of this about people I know directly, but instead just look at the very successful like Bill Gates, Michael Dell and Larry Ellis, none of them have a four year degree.

True hardworking Americans don't have time to watch silly comedy shows. The liberals of this country are so busy being smart and talkin' in big words that they've made the country weaker in the face of terrorism. We need strong leadership. John Stewarts silly attitude has made America unsafe. Osama watches the Daily Show. Bush/Cheney '04!

" John Stewarts silly attitude has made America unsafe"

Yeah, you said it..... silly. We should arrest him and try him for ..... treasonous silliness. Or would that be silliness in the first degree?

Please.

Why do I sense there seems to be such an urgency to attack anything that hints of a less than conservative fact: i.e. "College graduates watch a liberal comedy TV show." If your undies get into a bunch over of this, I can understand your outrage they're not showing enough Brady Bunch reruns.

If there are any conspiracy theories about Nielson surveys and how they're designed to sway American thought, let's hear them. Sigh.

My bad. I should have counted to 10 before I responded. In the context of messages written about the election in OT, this one really didn't seem too far from the norm. I think I need one of these to differentiate the sarcasm from the regular "belief" statements.

We're in a pretty bad state when the best, most extreme, and sarcastic bit of GOoPer hysteria I can possibly think of is taken for truth. We're long over due for a change in the guard, this crap has got to stop.

Anybody see Jon Stewart on Charlie Rose last night? Wow, he had some great things to say.

Let's think about it in a logical sense. Most of the pelicans here are well educated, and how many of us watch the daily show? I know i do.

Oh, I watch it, like I said he's very funny and a talented comedian/host. I think he should take over the TonightShow rather than Conan myself.
