Fifth Element
Starship Troopers The Matrix Star Wars Episode IV Dude, Where's My Car? Independence Day The Quiet Earth They Live The Thing Back to the Future Event Horizon (I know, it's not that good...) I'm sure there's more that y'all will come up with -- I tried to avoid "Fantasy" and keep the "Science" in it. JP

Blade Runner
Mad Max/Road Warrior - but not the 3rd one with Tina Turner - Hollywood promptly ruined the franchise. T1 and T2 Alien/Alien 2 Omega Man 2001 The Thing (original and remake - yuck!) Death Race 2000 Westworld - who could forget that? Comedy/Sci Fi Mars Attacks - stoopid fun...

Esther -
I almost typed "Dune" but the movie was such a disappointment vis-a-vis the book. The movie had a lot to live up to. I'll add the 6th Day. I really like that movie. JP

WOW, I must be a lot older than most of you. No one mentioned the Final Countdown, circa 1976. If you haven't seen it, go rent it. Pearl Harbor,,,,what if??????????????

Funny, no one ever lists "War of the Worlds" on any of these favorite sci-fi movie threads.
