Pedro is very outspoken, he doesn't care what the fans think about him. He also seems to act in very self-centered ways, and sometimes the team seems to come after Pedro... at least, that's how it seemed 2001-2003. Not so much today.

I think his declining (but still dominant) ability might be the reason he's mellowed out a lot this year... and the fact that with Schilling's arrival, Pedro isn't necessarily the Sox's ace anymore.
