found in a barn (sort of)

I saw this a friend's shop. He's storing it for a guy that bought it when he was in college many years ago. it's been stored for a very long time. It looks to be in pretty good shape.

The rear of the body looks to be in good shape. Could be a keeper huh. Always fun to stumble across stuff like that.

Could you get the VIN and engine number to add to the 356 Registry's database?

Whenever I drive around LV I always look for old Porsches...So far I have seen a dead 1972 911T, 1972 or 73 911 Targa under cover along with a Continental Coupe, a 912 or early 911 under cover, 74 Carrera, 79 3.0 Carrera and a 356 under cover... I just seem to have a nose for finding these things...the other day while going to the post office I decided to cruise a couple of neighborhoods looking for an old Porsche...and low and behold ther was a 356 under cover.... I really would like to find a Drop Head 356....preferably a 64/65 SC.

Now that would be too cool if it had the carrera engine in it. Maybe you can get it back into running condition. I found a very good condition 912 under similar circumstances, but the owner won't sell.

here's another shot. I didn't see any rust or dents and the inside looked pretty good also. I did see the back end of another a few years ago sticking out of an garage on a old country road. It was out of place in that part of Louisiana. now if I could only find it again.
