Pretty sickening...

You know what my brother said when he got home from school today?

He said that one of the kids in his class said she hates democrats because they give money to the poor.

^ Direct quote. I found that to be pretty disgusting and this brat's parents should teach her a lesson... even though it's their fault she thinks like this.

Quite depressing that people can be that ignorant..

Yep...those parents should be ashamed. They should teach their kids to hate democrats for the right reasons.... because they want to give everyone else's money away...

As opposed to letting folks keep what is theirs.

Most "rich" folks started out the same as the "poor" ones. In most cases, the only difference is that one worked and made reasonable choices and the other chose not to.

Life is tough...but it is tougher when you are stupid!

Roman Senator: All fellow members of the Roman senate hear me. Shall we continue to build palace after palace for the rich? Or shall we aspire to a more noble purpose and build decent housing for the poor? How does the senate vote?
Entire Senate: F*CK THE POOR!

Clowd is talking about corporate welfare. You know...the funding we give to corporations to "help them out" in their quest to become not only millionaires, but billionaires.

Example-- the good ol subsidized fans from China:

Home Depot was the number one winner in the tax bill signed 10/11/04. They get to sell subsidized ceiling fans from China. (What do they have against Lowe's?)

The event at the home of Robert Nardelli, chief executive officer of Home Depot raised $3.2 million for Bush.

On the invitation list were Georgia-Pacific Co. Chief Executive A.D. "Pete" Correll, Coca-Cola Co. board member Don Keough, Home Depot co-founder Bernie Marcus, SunTrust CEO Phil Humann

Suntrust, the next Enron?

NEW YORK SunTrust Banks said Monday that it expected to restate its profit upward for the first half to fix how it accounted for loan losses, and the large U.S. bank put two senior finance executives on paid leave.

And Remember Suntrust is where the 9/11 terrorists kept their Saudi money.

That's the real issue today...none of this "taking my money and give to the poor"...it's more like "taking my HARD EARNED money and giving it to the rich."

Glad you love wasting your tax dollars on this crap flintstone.

And re: the post, to teach your children how to hate like that....."she hates democrats because they give money to the poor", well I guess that's no better than other groups that are taught to hate, for example..um...terrorists who are taught to hate Americans...or Germans who were taught to hate jews....

Seriously....some people need to look inside their soul and see what they've become.

Actually I don't believe you are correct. Could you post a source for these charges? The only bill that I know of on the date you post is H.R. 4520, Jumpstart Our Business Strength (JOBS) Act . It's purpose was to actually close loopholes in the corrporate tax code and prevent loss of jobs overseas.....and I don't see anything even similar to what you post. There were no subsidies for ceiling fans. The only portion regarding ceiling fans is to temporarily remove a 4.7% tarriff on their purchase.....which would apply to Home Depot, Lowes, or anyone else who purchased one. Only a fool would consider such to be corporate welfare. Since the tariff reductions apply to all purchasers and resellers...they will, through competition, be ultimately passed on to the consumer. If you know of another bill that does anything at all like you profess, please enlighten me.

The Suntrust bit is just silly. That is like saying that if the terrorist drove a Ford..they are evil cars.

Perhaps looking into one's soul would help one see that printing falsehoods helps noone. The end really doesn't justify the means.

The funny thing about the poor is if pushed long and hard enough, the poor revolt. That's their power - to revolt. And as history has shown, the poor often do kill the wealthy.

Fortunately for me I can just show the angry mob my tax return, proving I make less than $200k and hence am one of them!

The ironic part is...the higher income people they would kill...are the ones providing them employment. They would be killing their benefactor.

LOL flintsonte...pretty elaborate story I made up, huh? lmao. I wish I could be that creative.

Bottom line...there is much more "welfare" given to the "rich" than to the poor in this country. And all it's doing is making the rich richer.

I'm glad you enjoy your tax dollars being spent on corporate welfare.

Seems like people should "hate" the republicans...they give money to the rich.

Corporate "Welfare".

Welfare is _giving_ money and other services to people.

Corporate "Welfare" does not _give_ one nickle to anyone. It is a tax break. In other words, they get to keep their own Money.

Calling is welfare is Political spin

Nope. Please show me one. On accasion, a loan/bail is done, but very very few grants are given. Try again.

Off the top of my head...energy. Farm subsidies ...

here's a little ditty with your coffee:

Thus, large farms and agribusinesses--which not only have the most acres of land, but also, because of their economies of scale, happen to be the nation's most profitable farms--receive the largest subsidies. Meanwhile, family farmers with few acres receive little or nothing in subsidies. In other words, far from serving as a safety net for poor farmers, farm subsidies comprise America's largest corporate welfare program.

Think of this....we had a slow economic downturn after 9/11. Not blaming anyone here...but think about it. Was still slow in 2002 and 2003. Getting better now, consumer confidence has not been fully restored yet, but we're getting there...

How come, when Forbes released it's richest people in the world recently, how come there is a RECORD NUMBER OF NEW BILLIOINAIRES? See where your tax dollars are REALLY going?

Keep happily paying those subsidies, oh wait, corporate welfare. That's who is really getting welfare.

Who benefits from farm subsidies? In general, "the people". Prices are not high enough for a farmer to stay in business. So we "pay" the farmer more than the crop is worth. We benefit from the low price. If supply and demand we allowed to act, the price would go higher.

On your second point, how many Billionaire farmers are they? Even corporate farmers?
