 Amusing, as Slackware was the second Linux distro I ever installed. The first was....wait for it.... SLS on floppies.

Are you sure? This is what I got:
 The Name "Gnu": "Gnu" comes from the southern African Kaffir word "nqu." "Wildebeest" is the Afrikaans (South African Dutch) word for "wild animal."
